Bellamy's Estate.

A BILL to enable Mr. Bellamy to sell Lands for Payment of Debts, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time.

Exeter Parishes.

Sir James Smith tenders and delivers in a Bill for uniting Parishes within the City of Exeter.

Wendover Election.

Sir Thomas Meeres reports from the Committee of Elections, the Evidence and State of the Case, touching the Election for the Borough of Wendover in the County of Bucks, between Alderman Backwell and Mr. Wharton; and the Votes of the Committee thereupon: Which he read in his Place; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were twice read.

The Question being put, To agree with the Committee, That Alderman Backwell is not duly elected a Burgess to serve in this Parliament for the Borough of Wendover;

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, That Thomas Wharton Esquire is duly elected a Burgess to serve in this Parliament for the Borough of Wendover,

Ordered, That the Clerk of the Crown, Thomas Darnell, and Nicholas Juson, Constables for the Borough of Wendover in the County of Bucks, do attend this House, to amend the Return of a Burgess to serve in Parliament for the said Borough, by razing out the Name of Alderman Backwell; and inserting the Name of Thomas Wharton Esquire therein.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Will. Beversham and Sir Edward Low;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent us to acquaint you, that they have agreed with this House in the Amendments to the Bill concerning the Lord Clifford; and to the Bill concerning the Earl of Salisbury: And have sent you down Two Bills, the one, intituled, An Act for settling certain Lands, belonging unto William Gery Esquire, upon Trustees, to be sold for Payment of Debts and Portions: The other, An Act to confirm Articles of Agreement, made upon the Marriage of Sir William Rich Baronet: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Charles I. Martyrdom.

Ordered, That these Members following be added to the Committee, to which the Bill for the better Observation of the Thirtieth of January, being the Martyrdom of King Charles the First, was committed, viz. Sir Philip Musgrave, Sir John Knight, Sir Edmond Windham, Mr. Gwynn, Sir John Shaw, Sir Christopher Musgrave, Mr. Progers, Mr. Robinson, Mr. Whitley, Sir Nich. Pedley.

Protestant Dissenters.

The ingrossed Bill for the Ease of his Majesty's Protestant Subjects, Dissenters from the Church of England, was read.

And an Amendment being proposed, by making the Word "further"- "fully:" and by inserting these Words, "and then and from thenceforth shall and may enjoy the like Liberty and Freedom, during the Continuance of this Act:" Which being twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed; and read a Third time;

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for the Ease of his Majesty's Protestant Subjects, Dissenters from the Church of England: And Mr. Powle is to carry up the Bill to the Lords.
