Thomas' Petition.
SIR Robert Howard reports from the Committee, the State of the Case, and the Evidence therein, on both Sides, between Sir Edw. Thomas Baronet, and Mr. Thomas, a Member of this House, his Son, upon the Petition of the said Sir Edw. Thomas: And that the Committee, upon Examination of the whole Matter, were of Opinion, that there is no sufficient Cause for the preferring of the said Petition.
Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree in Opinion with the Committee, that there is no sufficient Cause for the preferring of the said Petition.
Privilege-Petition from a person in custody.
A Petition of John Knight Esquire, Mayor of Bristoll, was read.
Resolved, &c. That the said John Knight Esquire, Mayor of the City of Bristoll, be discharged from the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms, and set at Liberty.
Supply Bill; Law Proceedings.
The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in the Bill for an Imposition on Proceedings in Courts of Law, and other Courts.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir Robert Atkins took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Sir Robert Atkins reports from the Committee, That they had made some further Progress in the Consideration of the said Bill.
Preventing Export of Wool.
Mr. Powle reports from the Committee to whom the Bill to prevent the Exportation of Wool was committed, some Amendments, agreed to by the Committee, to be made to the said Bill: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: And the same being twice read, and agreed;
Resolved, &c. That the said Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.
And then the House adjourned till Three of the Clock Afternoon.
