Absentees without Leave.
ORDERED, That the Lord Scudamore, and Dr. Arris, having departed the Service of the House without Leave, be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms: And that they shall not be admitted to take their Places in the House, until they have paid the Serjeant his Fees and Charges.
Ordered, That if the Lord Scudamore and Dr. Arris, shall appear before the Rising of the House, That the Warrant shall be respited.
Supply Bill; disbanding the Army.
A Bill for granting a Supply to his Majesty, for disbanding the Forces, was read the Second time.
Resolved, That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House.
Popish Recusants.
A Message from the Lords, by Sir Wm. Beversham and Sir John Hoskins:.
Mr. Speaker, The Lords having passed a Bill for the better Discovery, and more easy Conviction, of Popish Recusants, and sent it down to this House some time since; and conceiving it to be a Bill of great Importance; their Lordships have thought fit to remind the House of it.
Leave of Absence.
Ordered, That Sir Wm. Smith have Leave to go into the Country for Eight Days.
Ordered, That Sir John Otway have Leave to go into the Country.-
Disbanding the Forces.
Resolved, That Col. Birch, Sir Gilbert Gerrard, and Col. Whitley, shall be Commissioners for paying off and disbanding the Forces.
Resolved, That the Blank for Allowance to the Commissioners, their Clerks and Servants, shall be filled up with "One Peny."

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed upon the Bill for granting a Supply to his Majesty, for paying off and disbanding the Forces raised, and called over from beyond the Seas, since the Twenty-ninth of September 1677.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir John Trevor took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Sir John Trevor reports from the said Committee, That they had made some Progress in the Bill: And humbly moved from the said Committee, That the House would again resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, further to proceed upon the said Bill.
Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock, resolve into a Committee of the whole House, further to proceed upon the Bill for granting a Supply to his Majesty, for paying off and disbanding the Forces raised, and come over from beyond the Seas, since the Twenty-ninth of September 1677.
And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
