A BILL for Sale of Part of the Estate of Thomas Harlakenden Esquire, for Satisfaction of a Debt due to his Majesty, was read the Second time.

A Bill for determining Differences touching Houses burned down or blown up, was read the Second time.

Buying and selling Cattle.

An ingrossed Bill, to prevent Frauds in the Buying and Selling of Cattle in Smithfield, and elsewhere, was read: And some Amendments agreed and made at the Table.

A Proviso on Behalf of the County of Lincolne was read.

The Question being put, That the Proviso be read a Second time;

It passed in the Negative.

Another Proviso, against making Compositions for Offences, was thrice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to be made Part of the Bill.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act to prevent Frauds in the Buying and Selling of Cattle in Smithfield, and elsewhere: And Mr. Cheney is to carry up the Bill to the Lords.

Conventicles.

Mr. Crouch reports from the Committee to which the additional Bill to prevent and suppress seditious Conventicles, was recommitted, some Amendments agreed to by the Committee, to be made to the Bill: Which he read in his Place, and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

A Clause being tendered, to forbear the Imposing of the Clauses in the Act of Uniformity, for subscribing a Form of Assent, and Consent, and Abjuring the Covenant;

And being to repeal Part of an Act; and brought in without Leave;

The Question being put, That Leave be given to bring in a Proviso of this Nature;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, That there be an Addition for the Offenders against the Act to be included in the Clause of Indemnity, as well as those that have over-acted;

The House divided.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir John Coell and Sir Will. Beversham;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you down a Bill, intituled, An Act for the Relief and Release of poor Prisoners for Debt: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Fines and Forfeitures.

Ordered, That the Committee to which the Bill for the better Collecting and Answering of Fines and Forfeitures payable to his Majesty, was committed, be revived; and do sit To-morrow Morning, Seven of the Clock, in the Place formerly appointed.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees that were discontinued, be revived; to sit this Afternoon, in the Places formerly appointed.

Supply Bill; Law Proceedings.

Resolved, That the House do To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock, resolve into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in the further Consideration of the Bill for an Imposition on Proceedings in Courts of Law, and other Courts.

Committee of Privileges.

Ordered, That the Committee of Privileges and Elections do sit this Afternoon.
