Prayers.

Weymouth Election.

SERJEANT Charlton reports from the Committee of Privileges, That they had examined the Matter of the Double Return for the Borough of Weymouth; and found, That Sir John Coventry was returned by the Mayor and Burgesses of Weymouth; and Mr. Harvey was returned by the Sheriff, and some others: And that the Committee were of Opinion, That Sir John Coventry ought to sit, till the Merits of the Cause be determined.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, That Sir John Coventry ought to sit, till the Merits of the Cause be determined.

Estates for Lives.

A Proviso, to be added to the Bill, sent from the Lords, to prevent Inconveniences by Want of Proof of the Deceases of Persons beyond the Seas, or absenting themselves, upon whose Lives Estates do depend, was twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed; and read a Third time.

Another Proviso, on the Behalf of his Royal Highness the Duke of Yorke, was twice read; and, on the Question, agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Provisoes agreed to, do pass: And that the Title be agreed to.

And Sir Jonathan Trelawny is to carry up the Bill to the Lords.

Swaffham Parishes.

Amendments to the Bill, sent from the Lords, for Uniting of Parishes in Swaffham Saint Cyriac and Swaffham Saint Maries, within the Town of Swaffham Prior, in the County of Cambridge; and for uniting the Two Churches there; were twice read; and, with some other Amendments proposed at the Table, upon the Question, severally agreed.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments, do pass: And that the Title be agreed.

And Sir Solomon Swale is to carry up the Bill to the Lords.

Publick Accompts.

The House then resumed the Debate of the Preamble proposed by the Lords to be inserted in the Bill concerning Accompts, instead of the Preamble sent from this House.-

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Moundeford Brampston and Sir Wm. Child;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have returned you the Bill to enable Trustees to make Leases, for Payment of the Debts, and providing for the Children, of Sir Charles Stanley; with some Amendments: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House: And have commanded us to acquaint you, That they have agreed to the Amendments to the Bill touching the Lord Abergeveny; and to the Proviso to the Bill, sent from the Lords, concerning Tenants for Lives.-

Conference desired with Lords.

Ordered, That Sir Thomas Meeres do go up to the Lords, to desire a free Conference, upon the Subject Matter of the last free Conference.

Message to attend the King.

His Majesty commands this honourable House to attend Him in His House of Peers.

Parliament prorogued.
