Prayers.

Preventing the Plague.

MR. Milward reports from the Committee to which the Bill to prevent the Spreading of the Infection of the Plague was committed, some Amendments agreed by the Committee to be made to the Bill, Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Which Amendments, being twice read; and some Alterations thereto, upon the Question, agreed and made at the Table;

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Escapes.

A Bill for Relief of Creditors, against the Warden of the Fleet, and Marshal of the King's Bench, on Escapes of Prisoners, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Heirs and Executors.

A Bill for the Benefit of Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, in Recovery of their Rights, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time To . . . . . . Morning.

Regulating the Press.

Sir John Birkenhead reports from the Committee to which the Bill for Continuance of a former Act for regulating the Press, and an additional Clause to be added to the Bill, . . . .: Which he read, with the Coherence; and, after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

And the same being twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to;

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Clause and Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Foreign Cattle, &c.

An ingrossed Bill to prevent the Importation of Foreign Cattle and Fish, was read.

A Proviso, for the Importing of Cattle from the Isle of Man, was tendered; and thrice read.

Resolved, &c. That the Proviso be made Part of the Bill.

A Proviso, for Liberty to import Five thousand Head of Cattle for the Use of his Majesty's Family, was twice read.

The Question being put, That the Proviso be read the Third . . . .;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, That the Bill do pass;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went out.

And Colonel Strangwayes is to carry up the Bill to the Lords.

Duke of Yorke's Revenue.

Resolved, &c. That Leave be given for bringing in a Bill for a Month's further Assessment of One hundred and Twenty thousand Pounds, to commence from the Expiration of the former Assessments to be granted to his Majesty; with a Desire to his Majesty to dispose it to his Royal Highness the Duke of Yorke.

Ordered, That Mr. Solicitor General do forthwith prepare and bring in the Bill.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
