Prayers.

Tobacco Pipes.

A BILL for regulating the Art and Trade of Tobacco Pipe Making was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Leigh's Estate.

Sir Francis Goodrick reports from the Committee to which the Bill to enable Francis Leigh Esquire, to sell Lands, to pay Debts, was committed, That the Committee had carefully perused the Bill; and heard all Parties concerned; and had made some Amendments; and agreed some Provisoes to be added to the Bill; and had annexed to the Bill a Schedule of the Debts to be satisfied by Sale of the Lands: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: And the Amendments, being twice read, were, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Recovery of Tythes.

A Bill for the due Setting-forth of Tythes was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Mr. Steward, Mr. Morice, Sir Tho. Meres, Sir Anth. Irby, Mr. Dowdswell, Mr. Crouch, Sir John Brampston, Sir Edw. Masters, Sir Robert Atkyns, Sir John Knight, Sir Wm. Doyley, Mr. Garway, Sir Tho. Gower, Sir Fra. Goodrick, Sir John Birkinhead, Mr. Buller, Sir John Holland, Sir John Goodrick, Sir Edw. Walpoole, Sir Cha. Harbord, Dr. Burwell, Mr. Pryn, Sir Sol. Swale, Colonel Robinson, Sir Tho. Allen, Mr. Wm. Mountague, Sir Hen. North, Mr. Edw. Hyde, Mr. Pepis, Sir Hen. Wood, Sir Courtney Poole, Sir Edm. Peirse, Lord Fanshaw, Mr. Rigby: And all the Members of this House that shall come to the Committee, are to have Voices: And they are to meet To-morrow in the Afternoon at Two of the Clock in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records: And to provide for the better Collecting of Tythes from Quakers and Sectaries, so as their Estates may be subject to make Recompence: And also to provide for the better Collecting of the small Tythes.

Beresford's Estate.

A Bill for enabling Edward Beresford Esquire to sell certain Lands for the Payment of the Debts of Christopher Beresford was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Sir John Mounson, Sir Robert Atkyns, Mr. Wm. Mountague, Mr. Rigby, Sir Edm. Peirse, Sir Tho. Allen, Sir Sol. Swale, Sir John Hotham, Mr. Crouch, Sir Rich. Braham, Dr. Rishton, Mr. Morrice, Mr. Fra. Goodrick, Sir Anth. Irby, Mr. York, Lord Casileton, Sir Tho. Bludworth, Mr. Jones, Sir Tho. Meres, Colonel Edm. Windham, Sir Wm. Hickman, Sir Edw. Masters, Dr. Burwell, Sir Adrian Scroope, and all the Members of this House that serve for the several Counties of Yorke, Lincolne, and Nottingham: And they are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Hungerford's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill for enabling Sir Edward Hungerford, Knight of the Bath, to sell certain Manors and Lands lying in the County of Devon, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for enabling Sir Edward Hungerford, Knight of the Bath, to sell certain Manors and Lands lying in the County of Devon.

Astley's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill for Settling of several Manors, Lands, and Tenements, of Sir Jacob Astley, lying in the Counties of Norffolk and Warwick, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for settling of several Manors, Lands, and Tenements of Sir Jacob Astley, lying in the Counties of Norfolke and Warwick.

And Sir John Ernley is to carry up both the Bills to the Lords, for their Concurrence.

County Assessments.

Ordered, That the Members of this House, that serve for the several Counties of North and South Wales, do meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Exchequer Chamber; and do agree a Medium of the Rates to be assessed on each County, if they can; and report the same to the House.

Supply.

The House then resumed the Consideration of the Report from the Committee of the whole House concerning the Raising of the Five-and-twenty hundred thousand Pounds Supply for his Majesty; and the Votes agreed by the Committee: Which being twice read;

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee of the whole House, that all Lands and Estates shall be taxed in the Places, Townships, Parishes, and Counties, where they have been accustomed to be taxed.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, that all Lands extra-parochial, and other Lands not hitherto taxed, shall be taxed in this Act.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, that no Certificate be allowed.

Sir Phillip Musgrave reports, That the Members that serve for Cumberland and Westmerland had agreed to put a distinct Medium of a Rate on each County; which is as followeth; viz.

Which Medium was twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

Ordered, That the Members that serve for the County of Gloucester, and the City and County of Gloucester, do meet; and agree a distinct Medium for those Places, if they can; and report it to the House.

A Debate being, Whether the County of Middlesex, and the City of Westminster, shall be joined with the City of London, in the Payment of the Tax;

Resolved, &c. That the further Debate of this Matter be adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Ten of the Clock.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom it is referred to consider, In what Proportion the Forty thousand Pounds shall be distributed to the Counties over-rated, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Three of the Clock.
