Prayers.

JOHN Moll did, this Day, take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, in order to his being naturalized.

Ordered, That the Name of John Moll be inserted into the Bill for Naturalization.

Ordered, That the Names of Peter Lawrens and Isaac Delamare be inserted into the Bill of Naturalization.

Lord Strangford's Estate.

A Bill to enable a Sale of Lands to be made, for Payment of the Lord Strangford's Debts, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Privilege.

Upon Information, That Josias Midgley, menial Servant to Colonel Wanklyn, a Member of this House, was Yesterday arrested, and imprisoned in Wood-street Compter, contrary to the Privilege of this House;

Ordered, That the Sheriffs of London do cause the said Josias Midgley forthwith to be discharged of his Imprisonment.

Cornwall Rivers.

A Bill for making navigable certain Rivers in the County of Cornwall was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Saturday next.

Keyte's Estate.

A Bill to enable Sir William Keyte to sell Lands, to pay Debts, Legacies, and Portions, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Sir John Talbot, Sir Tho. Gower, Sir Cliff. Clifton, Mr. Milward, Mr. Newport, Mr. Hen. Coventry, Colonel Kirkby, Colonel Robinson, Sir Geo. Ryve, Sir Cha. Harbord, Sir John Birkinhead, Sir Cha. Berkley, Sir Edw. Masters, Sir Tho. Strickland, Sir Tho. Allen, Mr. Westphaling, Sir Edm. Pooley, Sir John Coriton, Mr. Devereux, Sir Sol. Swale, Mr. Daniell, Colonel Phillips, Mr. Heath, Sir Winston Churchill, Mr. Dowdswell, Sir John Goodrick, Sir Rich. Oatley, Sir Rich. Ordered, That the Bill concerning the Feltmakers be read To-morrow Morning.

Merchants Ships.

Ordered, That the ingrossed Bill to prevent the Delivering up of English Merchant Ships to Turkish Ships, or Sea Pirates, be read To-morrow Morning.

Committees.

Ordered, That the several Committees to which the several Bills against fraudulent Conveyances; concerning the Observation of the Lord's Day; the Increase of the Maintenance of Ministers in Corporations, and Market Towns; and the Partition of Lands; be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the several Places formerly appointed.

Church Lands.

Sir Charles Harbord reports from the Committee to which the Bill for apportioning Rents, and preventing concurrent Leases of the Lands of Bishops, and other Ecclesiastical Persons, was committed, That the Committee had carefully perused the Bill; and saw no Cause to make any Amendments or Alterations thereto: And delivered the Bill in at the Clerk's Table.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be ingrossed.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees which were discontinued, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Places formerly appointed.

Streets and Highways.

Ordered, That the Bill touching building and repairing the Streets and Highways, and regulating Hackney Coachmen, be read To-morrow Morning.

Conventicles.

The House did then resume the Debate upon the Bill to suppress and prevent seditious Conventicles.

And some Amendments were, upon the Question, agreed to be made thereto: And were, accordingly, inserted into the Bill; and thrice read; and agreed to.

The Bill being further debated;

And the Question being put, That the Party convicted of the Third Offence, shall have Liberty to abjure the Realm;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, That the Clause concerning the Continuance of the Act shall stand as it is in the Bill;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Question being put, That the Number "Five" do stand as it is in the Bill;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

A Proviso on the Behalf of such as shall recant, and acknowledge their Sorrow for their Offence, was twice read:

The Question being put, That the Proviso be read the Third time;

It passed in the Negative.

Resolved, &c. That the Word "Force" be added in the Bill, after the Word " *."

Which was done; and the Word thrice read; and agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Words "with Force, if they see Cause," be omitted in the Bill.

Which was done.

A Proviso was read, for saving the Act of the Militia; and laid aside.

The Question being put, That the Bill do pass;

It was resolved in the Affirmative: And that the Title shall be, An Act to prevent and suppress seditious Conventicles.

And the Lord Fanshaw is to carry up this Bill, and the Bill concerning Hearth Money, to the Lords for their Concurrence.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
