Prayers.

Supply Bill.

MR. Pryn reports from the Committees of the whole House, several Amendments, agreed by the Committee, to be made to the Bill of Subsidies: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: And were read the First time.

The several Amendments, precedent to the Amendment to the * Line of the Two-and-twentieth Folio, were read the Second time; and, on the Question, severally agreed to.

Ordered, That, after the Word "and," in the * Line of the Two-and-twentieth Folio, these Words following be inserted; viz. "and which shall be nominated in any Commission, to be directed from his Majesty, for assessing his Majesty's honourable Houshold."

Which was done accordingly.

The following Amendments, till you come to the Amendment to the Eleventh Line of the Six-and-twentieth Folio, were read the Second time; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

The Amendment to the Eleventh Line of the Six-andtwentieth Folio was read the Second time; and, upon the Question, postponed.

The following Amendments, until you come to the Amendment in Folio Eighty-two, were read the Second time; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

The Amendment to the Eighty-second Folio, being, to omit the Clause concerning Orphans, was read the Second time:

The Question being put, To agree with the Committee in this Amendment;

It passed in the Negative.

The next Amendment, to the Seventeenth Line of the Eighty-second Folio, being to insert "Rents," instead of "Lands," was read the Second time:

The Question being put, To agree with this Amendment;

It passed in the Negative.

The Two next Amendments, being the same with this, were read the Second time:

And the Question being severally put, for agreeing;

It passed in the Negative.

The next Amendment, to the Twelfth Line of . . . Eighty-second Folio, was read the Second time; and, upon the Question, agreed.

The rest of the Amendments, till you come to the Amendment for inserting a Proviso of Restriction, were read the Second time; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

The Clause of Restriction, being read the Second time, was, upon the Question, agreed to.

The House then resumed the Debate of the Amendment to the Eleventh Line of the Thirty-sixth Folio, for omitting Scotland and Ireland; which was postponed.

The Question being put, To omit the Clause concerning Viscounts, Barons, and Baronets;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Ordered, That these Words, "then next following," be added, instead of "now next ensuing."

Which was done, in two several Places.

Ordered, That in * Folio, these Words be inserted; viz; "and the Two latter, before the Fourteenth Day of April then next following."

Ordered, That, instead of "March next ensuing," be inserted "March 1663."

Which was done.

Ordered, That * Allan, * and * Michell, be inserted into the List for Sussex.

Ordered, That Sir Edward Hungerford and Henry Nute Esquire, be added Commissioners for Devon.

Ordered, That Shalston Calmundy, and Richard Coffin, be added Commissioners for the County of Devon.

Ordered, That George Farewell, Henry Peck, and Dr. Edward Graves, be added Commissioners for the City and Liberties of Westminster.

Ordered, That Sir Tho. Wilbraham, and Colonel Robinson be added Commissioners for Cheshire.

Ordered, That Sir John Dormer be added Commissioner for the County of Bucks.

Ordered, That Sir Phillip Warwicke, John Page, and Christopher Eyres, be added Commissioners for Middlesex.

Ordered, That John Delavall Esquire, Tho. Wright Doctor of Physick, Henry Robinson of Caster, John Harby junior, Esquires, be added Commissioners for the County of Northampton.

The Question being put, That there shall be any more Commissioners now added;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Militia.

Ordered, That the House do sit this Afternoon, at Three of the Clock, for the Dispatch of the Bill of the Militia.

Lords reminded of Bills.

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Lords, by Sir John Duncombe, to put their Lordships in mind of the Bills against the Growth of Popery; the Bill to prevent the Meetings of Sectaries; the Bill for Advance of Trade; and the Bill for the taking away Damage Cleere: And to desire their Lordships to expedite these Bills.

A PETITION of many Merchants, Tradesmen, Artificers, Victuallers, and others, in and about the City of London, was read.

The House resolves itself into a Committee of the whole House, upon the additional Bill for the Militia.

Mr. Pryn reports, That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and made several Alterations and Amendments thereto: And that they desired the House would appoint a Time for a Report thereof to be made unto them.

Resolved, That the said Report upon the additional Bill for the Militia be made To-morrow Morning at Nine of the Clock.
