Prayers.

JOHN Baptist Peters did, this Day, take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, before Mr. Speaker, at the Clerk's Table, in order to his being naturalized.

Privilege.

Ordered, That John Gibbons, being committed to the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms, for a Breach of Privilege, in suing Nicholas Sampson, an Agent of Sir Courtney Poole's, touching certain Tythes, to which Sir Courtney makes Title; having been taken into Custody, and submitted; be discharged of his Commitment, paying his Fees.

Ordered, That all Proceedings at the Common Law, and in the Exchequer, against Sir Courtney Poole's Agents, his Tenants, or Servants, touching the Tythes of the Rectory of Collyton, Shute, and Monckton, in the County of Devon, be stayed, during the Session of this Parliament.

Jacob's, &c. Nat.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Bill for Naturalizing of Dame Elizabeth Jacob, and others, is committed, be revived; and do meet on Saturday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Place formerly appointed.

E. of Kent's Estate.

Sir Solomon Swale reports from the Committee to which the ingrossed Bill sent from the Lords, for settling the Lands of the Earl of Kent, and the Lord Lucas, on the Marriage of the said Earl with the Daughter and Heir-apparent of the said Lord Lucas, was committed, That the Committee had carefully perused the Bill; and found no Cause to make any Alteration or Amendment thereto: And delivered the Bill in at the Clerk's Table.

A Petition of the Lady Penelope Lucas being tendered, and taken into Consideration;

Resolved, That the said Petition be referred to the former Committee: And that the Committee be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Two of the Clock: And they are to examine the Matter of the said Petition; and report their Opinions therein to the House.

Marshes gained from the Sea.

A Bill for the settling the salt and fresh Marshes, gained from the Sea, was this Day read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time Tomorrow Morning.

Fishing Trade.

A Bill for the regulating and ordering the Fishing Trade was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to the Committee of Trade. And that the Committee be revived: And they are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber: And all the Members of this House that serve for the Cinque Ports, or any Port Towns, are added to the Committee: And all the Members of this House, that shall come, are to have Votes. And it is referred to the said Committee, to provide and bring in a Clause for regulating and ordering the Pilchard Fishing; and also an Enacting Clause to repeal the Act for the Importing of Madder, to be added, and made Part of the Bill.

D. of York's Revenue.

Ordered, That the Report upon the Bill touching the Post Office and Wine Licences be heard To-morrow Morning.

Marshalsea.

Ordered, That the Bill concerning the Court of Marshalsea be read To-morrow Morning.

Sectaries, &c.

The House did then resume the Debate upon the Bill against the Meetings of Sectaries, and other Dissenters from the Church of England.

The Question being put, That the Word "all" shall stand in the Bill;

The Question being put, That the Bill be re-committed;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, That the Bill, with the several Amendments, be ingrossed;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Supply Bill.

Ordered, That the Bill for Subsidies, brought in by Mr. Solicitor General, be read To-morrow Morning.
