Prayers.

Bedford Level.

SIR Thomas Gower reports from the Committee to which the Matter was re-committed, by Order of the Seventeenth of this Month, in relation to Bedford Level, to prepare and bring in Two Clauses, and other Additions and Amendments, to the Bill for draining the said Level, That the Committee had accordingly agreed the Clause . . . Amendments directed by the Order: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Which Clauses and Amendments were read the First time.

And the First of the said Clauses were read the Second time, by Paragraphs; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

A Proviso was tendered, on the Behalf of the Bishops and other Lords, to enable them to let Leases: . . . . was read.

The said Proviso was read the Second time.

The Question being put, That the Blank in the Proviso be filled up with these Words, "the Fourth Part of the true yearly Value to be ascertained by the Commissioners aforesaid, or any Seven of them;"

Which was done accordingly;

Resolved, That the said Proviso, so amended, be agreed to.

Another Proviso, to save the Rights of the Lords, was twice read; and some Amendments made, and agreed to: But some Debates arising on some other Points of the Proviso;

Ordered, That the said Proviso be committed to the former Committee: And the Committee are revived; and to meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Place formerly appointed.

Commissions, &c.

Ordered, That the Report concerning the illegal Issuing, and undue Execution, of Commissions, be heard To-morrow Morning before Ten of the Clock.

Sir R. Temple.

Ordered, That the Report concerning Sir Richard Temple be heard To-morrow Morning.

Sectaries, &c.

Ordered, That the House will, on Monday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock, proceed on the Report and Amendments to the Bill for preventing the Meetings of Sectaries, Un-conformists, and Dissenters from the Church.

Clothiers.

Ordered, That the House will, on Tuesday next, proceed in the further Consideration of the Report concerning the Clothiers.

Supply.

The House did then resolve into a Committee of the whole House, to take into Consideration the Matter of his Majesty's present Supply.

Sir Robert Atkins took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker again took the Chair.

Sir Robert Atkins reports from the Committee, That they had proceeded to these Resolves;

That the Commissioners for Levying the Subsidy be nominated by the House:

That there shall be a Restriction as to their real Value of Lands:

That there shall be a Restriction as to the real Value of Goods:

That the Proportion of a Subsidy of Land shall be Four Shillings in the Pound:

That the Proportion of a Subsidy upon Goods shall be Two Shillings and Eight-pence in the Pound.

Resolved, That the Debate of this Report be adjourned till To-morrow Morning at Nine of the Clock.

Ld. Lucas.

Ordered, That Mr. Pepis be added to the Committee to whom my Lord Lucas Bill is committed.

Ld. Strangford's Estate.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom my Lord Strangford's Bill is committed, be revived; and do sit To-morrow in the Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Place formerly appointed.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees which should have sat this Afternoon, be adjourned till To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon.

Bills from Lords.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir William Glascock and Sir Walter Littleton;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have returned you a Bill, intituled, An Act for repairing and better preserving the Key of Wells in the County of Norfolke, with some Alterations and Amendments: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

The Lords have also commanded us to signify to this House, That they have concurred to the Act, sent from this House, for regulating the Hospital of St. Oswald in the County of Worcester.

Mersey, &c. Navigation.

Ordered, That Sir Rowland Berkley, Colonel Sam. Sandys, Sir Charles Hussey, and Mr. Griffith, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill concerning the Rivers of Mersey and Weever is committed.

Damage Clear.

Ordered, That Mr. Westphaling, Sir Robert Brooke, Sir Wm. Howard, Lord Gorge, Mr. Cornewallis, Lord Richardson, Mr. Whorwood, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill for taking away Damage Clear is committed.
