Prayers.

Relief from Act of Uniformity.

A BILL for Relief of such Persons as, by Sickness, or other Impediments, were disabled to subscribe the Declaration and Acknowledgment in the Act of Uniformity, was read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read again, the Second time, on Wednesday next.

Pitcarne's Estate.

Ordered, That these Persons following be added to the Committee to which the Bill concerning Mr. Pitcarne is committed; viz. Sir Thomas Peyton, Sir Nicholas Steward, Colonel Robinson, Mr. Sandys, Mr. John Buller, Sir Theop. Biddulph, Sir Nich. Crisp, Sir Clement Fisher, Mr. Jolliffe, Mr. Francis Buller: And they are to sit this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Place formerly appointed.

Lindsey Level.

Ordered, That the Report of the Bill of Lindsey Level be peremptorily heard on Friday Morning next.

Dickins' Petition.

A Petition of Francis Dickins, on the Behalf of himself, and of the Creditors, Widow, and younger Children, of William Dickins Esquire, was read.

D. of Yorke's Revenue.

Mr. Seymour reports from the Committee to which the Bill for vesting the Office of Postmaster General, and the Office of granting Wine Licences, in his Royal Highness the Duke of Yorke, That the Committee had pursued their Instructions: And having heard the several Parties concerned; and considered the Debates in the House upon Commitment of the Bill; had made several Amendments; and agreed a Proviso to be added, and made Part of the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Which were read the First time.

The First Amendment, being to leave out the Word "Parliament," and instead thereof, to insert the Word "Convention," was read the Second time.

The Question being put, To agree with the Committee;

The House was divided.

The Noes went out.

And so it was resolved in the Affirmative, To agree with the Committee.

The next Amendment was read; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

The rest of the Amendments were read the Second time; and, upon the Question, severally agreed.

The First Proviso was read; and, upon the Question, agreed.

The Second Proviso was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That these Words, "or any other Cities or Towns Corporate," be inserted in this Proviso.

Which was done accordingly.

Resolved, That the Proviso, so amended, be agreed to.

The Question being put, for an Addition to be made to the Proviso, on the Behalf of such as had served Seven Years Apprenticeship to the Trade of a Vintner, and did now exercise that Trade;

The House was divided.

The Ayes went out.

And so it passed in the Negative.

A Proviso, on the Behalf of the Two Universities, was tendered; and Twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

Another Proivso, on the Behalf of such as have Patents from King James and King Charles the First, for selling Wines by Retale, was read.

The Question being put, That the Proviso be read a Second time;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Proviso was accordingly read the Second time.

The Question being put, That the Bill, with this Proviso, be re-committed to the former Committee;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Ordered, That the Committee be revived; and do meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Place formerly appointed.

Supply.

Ordered, That the Matter of the King's Majesty's present Supply be adjourned till To-morrow Morning: And that the House do, at Ten of the Clock, resolve into a Committee of the whole House to take the same into Consideration.

Preventing Popery, &c.

A Proviso, directed, by Order of this House, to be brought in to the Bill to prevent the Growth of Popery, being brought in; and twice read; and debated;

Resolved, That this Proviso be re-committed to the former Committee: And they are hereby revived; and to meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Place formerly appointed.

Profaneness, &c.

Ordered, That the Committee to which the Bill against Licentiousness and Profaneness was committed, be revived; and do sit To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Place formerly appointed.

And then the House adjourned itself till To-morrow Morning, at Eight of the Clock.
