Colladon's, &c. Nat.

JOHN Colladon Doctor in Physick, Samuel Renant, and George Kreavett, in order to their Naturalization, did this Day take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, at the Clerk's Table.

Ordered, That their Names be inserted into the Bill: And that the Committee be revived and do sit.

Collectors of Revenue.

A Bill for indemnifying such as have been Collectors of publick Monies, was this Day read the Second time.

Ordered, That Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Rigby, Mr. Milward, Mr. Street, Mr. Smith, Sir Anthony Irby, Mr. Attorney of the Duchy, Sir William Lowther, Sir Solomon Swale, do withdraw, and amend the Bill, as to the Matter now in Debate upon the said Bill; and report it to the House.

And they having accordingly withdrawn;

Mr. Vaughan reported from them several Amendments to the said Bill: Which, being severally twice read, were, upon the Question, agreed unto.

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the said Amendments so agreed unto, be ingrossed.

Ordered, That the Report concerning Mr. James Phillips, be made on Monday Morning.

Court of Assurance.

Mr. Street reported from the Committee to whom the additional Bill concerning Matters of Assurance, used amongst Merchants, was committed, several Amendments to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table.

Which said Amendments being severally twice read;

Resolved, That this House doth agree to the said Amendments.

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the said Amendments, so agreed unto, be ingrossed.

Okeover's Estate.

Mr. Milward reported from the Committee to whom the Bill for enabling Rowland Okeover, Esquire, to sell Lands in the County of Derby, was committed, several Amendments to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table.

Resolved, That this House doth agree to the said Amendments.

An ingrossed Bill for the Naturalization of Philadelphia, Wise of the Right honourable Thomas Lord Wentworth, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That the same be read again, the Second time, To-morrow Morning.

Marq. of Ormond, &c.

A Bill for confirming an Act for restoring unto James Marquis of Ormond, all his Honour, Manors, Lands, and Tenements, in Ireland, whereof he was in Possession on the Three-and-twentieth of October 1641, or at any time since; and Three other Acts; was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, That the same be ingrossed.

Confirming Acts.

A Bill for confirming Three several Acts, therein mentioned, which passed in the last Assembly, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to Mr. Crouch, Sir Thomas Meres, Sir Antho. Irby, Mr. Attorney of the Duchy, Mr. Yorke, Dr. Birkenhead, Sir Thomas Wendy, Mr. Knight, Mr. Pryn, Sir Solomon Swale, Sir William Lowther, Dr. Burwell, Sir Clifford Clifton: And they, or any Four or more of them, are to meet in the Speaker's Chamber, on Saturday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Address-Corn in Store, &c.

Resolved, That an humble Address be made to the King's Majesty, to send Instructions from his Majesty, and his Council, to the Justices of the Peace in the several Counties, to inform themselves what Corn is in Store, and to take such Course as they shall conceive to be most effectual, that Corn be not ingrossed, and hoarded up; but that it be brought in, and exposed to sale, in the publick Markets, at the Measures and Weights allowed by the Standard, for Supply of the Poor; who are at this time put to great Distress and Extremities for the want of Corn; and also to see the Laws against Retailers and Ingrossers put in Execution: And such of the Members of this House as are of his Majesty's Privy Council, are desired to attend his Majesty with this Message.

Sir Tho. Meres reports, That Dr. Creighton Dean of Wells, having been for some time indisposed in his Health, is uncapable to preach before this House on the Thirtieth of this present January; but that he desireth some other Opportunity to express his Zeal and Affection to serve this honourable House.

Dr. Hardy to preach on 30th Jan.

Resolved, That Doctor Hardy Dean of Rochester be desired to preach before this House, in St. Margarett's Church, Westminster, upon the Thirtieth Day of this present January: And that Sir Thomas Meres give him Notice hereof.

Executing Regicides.

Resolved, That the ingrossed Bill for executing the Persons attainted of High Treason, be read the Third time, on Saturday next, at Eleven of the Clock.

Ulooswick's, &c. Nat.

Ordered, That the Name of Margaret Ulooswick, Daughter of Cornelius Ulooswick, Lord of Ulooswick, Diemerbrook, and Papencop; and of Anna Vanhoven; be inserted into the Bill of Naturalization, now depending with the Committee.

Hereford Writ.

Resolved, That Mr. Speaker do issue a Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a Writ for a new Election of a Citizen for the City of Hereford, in the Place of Sir Henry Lingen, that is lately dead.

Petition to be read.

Ordered, That the Petition brought in by Sir Charles Hussey, be read To-morrow Morning, the first Business.

Excise.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Members of each County do make their Returns touching the Excise of Beer and Ale, on Tuesday next.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Members of this House, who serve for the Cities of London and Westminster, the County of Middlesex, and the Borough of Southwerke, do, on Tuesday next, bring in the Number of all the Innkeepers, Victuallers, and Cooks, who keep Shops; Chandlers that sell Beer and Ale, and other Alehousekeepers, and Sellers of Coffee, within the Cities of London and Westminster, and the Borough of Southwarke, and all other the Places within the Bills of Mortality.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning at Eight of the Clock.
