Prayers.

Parsons Green Inclosure.

A BILL for confirming of an Inclosure formerly used for a common Highway from Parsons Green to Southfeild in Fulham, and the settling of other Land for a common High . . . there in lieu thereof, was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, That the same be committed to Sir Rich Onslow, Mr. Crouch, Sir Rich. Everard, Sir Robert Atkins, Sir Robert Howard, Serjeant Seys, Mr. Scudamore, Mr. Lowther, Mr. Puckering, Mr. Fane, Sir Abraham Cullen, Sir Lancelot Lake, Sir Tho. Leigh, Mr. Thurland, Mr. Knight, Sir Jo. Holland, Sir Tho. Allen, Sir Cha. Cornwallis, Sir Hen. Newton, Sir Gilbert Gerrard, and all the Members that serve for Middlesex and Surrey: And they are to meet this Afternoon in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records: And to examine the Agreement therein mentioned; and to hear the Parties that are concerned in the Highway.

Ld. Scudamore's Endowment.

A Bill for the Endowment of several Churches by the Lord Viscount Scudamore, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That the same be read again, the Second time, To-morrow Morning.

Powell's Estate.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir William Childe and Sir William Glascock, Masters of the Chancery;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you an Act for the making void certain Fines unduly procured to be levied by Sir Edward Powell Knight and Baronet, and Dame Mary his Wife: Whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Resolved, That the said Bill be read To-morrow Morning.

Clitherow Copyholders.

Mr. Attorney of the Duchy reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for the Copyholders of the Manor of Clitherow in the County of Lancaster was committed, several Amendments to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards delivered in the same, with the Bill, at the Clerk's Table: Which said Amendments being severally twice read;

Resolved, That this House doth agree to the said Amendments: And that the said Bill, with the said Amendments, be ingrossed.

Brokers.

Sir Richard Everard reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for Confirmation of the Register of Sales and Pawns made to retailing Brokers in London and Westminster, and Places adjacent, was committed, several Amendments to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards delivered in the same, with the Bill, at the Clerk's Table: Which said Amendments being severally twice read;

Duchy of Cornwall Leasing.

Sir Robert Atkins reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for enabling his Majesty to make Leases of Lands, Parcel of his Highness' Duchy of Cornwall, or annexed to the same, was committed, several Amendments to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards delivered in the same, with the Bill, at the Clerk's Table: Which said Amendments being severally twice read;

Resolved, That this House doth agree to the said Amendments: And that the said Bill, with the said Amendments, be ingrossed.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Mr. York, one of the Members of this House, have the Leave of this House to go into the Country.

Brackley Election.

Serjeant Charleton reports from the Committee of Privileges and Elections, touching the Election for the Town of Brackley in the County of * * * *, and the Opinion of the Committee, That Sir Thomas Crew was duly elected, and ought to sit in this House.

Resolved, That this House doth agree in Opinion with the said Committee, That Sir Thomas Crew was duly elected a Burgess for the said Town of Brackley, and ought to sit in this House.

Ordered, That the Mayor of Brackley, and the Clerk of the Crown, or his Deputy, do attend this House Tomorrow at Eight of the Clock, to mend the Return of the said Town of Brackley.

Charge on Beer, &c.

And this House then resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to resume the Debate of settling the Proportions of the additional Charge upon all Beer and Ale to be levied by Way of Poll.

Sir Robert Atkins took the Chair. After much Debate,

Mr. Speaker again took the Chair: And

Sir Robert Atkins made Report from the Committee of the whole House, That they had taken the Matter of settling the said Proportions into Debate; but had not proceeded to any Resolve; and desired that the House might be again resolved into a Committee To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock, to resume the said Debate.

Resolved, That this House be again resolved into a Committee To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock, to resume the said Debate.

Privilege.

This House being this Day informed, That one John Weaver a menial Servant to Sir John Stapeley, one of the Members of this House, was arrested by one John Browne, a Serjeant at the Mace in London, and Robert Lace, a Serjeant's Yeoman, at the Suit of one Francis Carpenter, in Breach of the Privileges of this House;

Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, or his Deputy, do apprehend and bring into Custody the said Francis Carpenter, John Browne, and Robert Lace, to answer their said Misdemeanor and Breach of Privilege.

And then the House adjourned till Eight of the Clock To-morrow Morning.
