Liturgy.

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to view the several Laws for confirming the Liturgy of the Church of England; and to make Search, whether the original Book of the Liturgy, annexed to the Act passed in the Fifth and Sixth Years of the Reign of King Edward the Sixth, be yet extant; and to bring in a compendious Bill to supply any Defect in the former Laws; and to provide for an effectual Conformity to the Liturgy of the Church, for the Time to come.

And a Committee was accordingly appointed, of all the Members of this House, that are of the Long Robe: And the preparing the Bill was especially recommended to the Care of Mr. Serjeant Keeling.

High Commission Court.

Ordered, That it be referred to the same Committee, to look into the Act that takes away the High Commission Court; and to report their Opinion, how far the coercive Power of the Ecclesiastical Courts are taken away; and to prepare a Bill for settling the same, if they see Cause: And this Business is especially recommended to the Care of Mr. Serjeant Keeling.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That the Lord Angier, a Member of this House, have the Leave of the House to go into Ireland.

Ordered, That the Lord Falkland (being called away in his Majesty's Service) have the Leave of this House to go unto Dunkirke.

Corporations.

Ordered, That the Debate upon the Amendments to the Bill for the well-governing of Corporations, be adjourned; and taken into Consideration, the first publick Business, To-morrow Morning.

The Paper of Amendments to the Bill for regulating Corporations, being, after the Rising of the House, on Saturday last, found missing; and probably, by Mistake, taken away from the Clerk's Table, by some Member, amongst other Papers:

Ordered, That the several Members do make Search into their Papers; and such Member as shall find the said Paper, do forthwith restore the same to the Clerk of this House.

Duchy of Cornwall Leasing.

Ordered, That the Bill enabling his Majesty to make Leases of Lands in his Duchy of Cornwall, be read Tomorrow Morning.

Committee of Privileges.

Ordered, That Sir Henry Newton, alias Puckering, be added to the Committee of Privileges.

Privilege.

The House being this Day informed, that one Wm. Taylor, being a menial Servant to Sir Robert Paston, one of the Members of this House, was arrested at the Suit of * *; and, though he had his Master's Protection about him, and shewed the same to the Bailiff, and the Bailiff shewed it to the Party, yet he refused to release him; in Breach of Privilege of this House.

Ordered, That the Party at whose Suit he was arrested, and the Bailiff that did arrest him, be taken into Custody: And the Serjeant at Arms, or his Deputy, is to apprehend and bring them up in Custody, to answer the said Breach of Privilege.

Militia.

And then the House resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in Debate of the Bill for orderdering the forces of this Kingdom: And
