Prayers.

Wilford's Nat.

MARTHA Wilford did, this Day, take the Oaths of Supremacy and Allegiance, in order to her being naturalized.

And the Certificate, on her Behalf, being read;

Ordered, That the Name of Mrs. Martha Wilford be inserted into the Bill of Naturalization.

Poor Relief.

Ordered, That Sir Robert Atkyns have Leave to tender an additional Bill for the better Relief of the Poor.

Which Bill being tendered;

And the Question being put, That the said Bill be read;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

And the additional Bill for Relief of the Poor was read the First time.

The Question being put, That this Bill be read the Second time;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Wood and Coals.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to Mr. Waller, Sir Tho. Higgons, Sir Tho. Meres, Sir John Talbot, Sir Robert Atkyns, Sir John Coriton, Sir Rich. Braham, Mr. Sandys, Mr. Pryn, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir Wm. Lowther, Mr. Milward, Mr. Jones, Sir Tho. Allen, Mr. Hungerford, or any Three of them, to inspect the former Laws touching Wood, Coals, and other Fuelling; and to prepare and bring in a Bill to regulate the Assize of Wood; and to prevent Abuses in the Buying and Selling of Wood, Coals, and other Fuelling.

Navy Debt.

A Petition of several Merchants, Tradesmen, Artificers, Victuallers, and others, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the said Petition be committed to Lord Richardson, Sir John Coriton, Sir John Duncombe, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Tho. Meres, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Rich. Oatley, Mr. John Jones, Colonel Tho. Robinson, Mr. Pryn, Sir Tho. Tompkins, Mr. Hungerford, Mr. King, Sir Cha. Harbord, Sir Lanc. Lake, Mr. Milward, Sir Nich. Carew, Sir Tho. Clifford, Mr. Swinfein, Mr. John Vaughan, Mr. Wm. Coventry, Lord Fanshaw, Mr. Scawen, Mr. Secretary Bennet, Sir Rich. Ford, Mr. Garway, Sir John Brampston, Sir Tho. Peirse, Mr. John Trelawney: And they are to meet at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, on Monday next, in the Inner Court of Wards: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records: And they are to examine the Matter of the Petition, and the Nature of the Debt; and whether it were a Debt adjudged to be satisfied within the Time limited by Act of Parliament: And report the same, with their Opinions therein, to the House.

Supply Bill.

The House then resumed the Debate upon the Bill for raising a Supply for his Majesty.

And several Votes and Orders of the House being read;

And a Debate being, Whether the City of London should be further eased in their Assessment, above the Proportion allowed them of the Forty thousand Pounds;

The Question being put, That the City of London shall be further relieved;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went out.

And so it passed in the Negative.
