Prayers.

Darwyn, &c. Navigation.

ORDERED, That the Committee to which the Bill for making the River Darwyn, and other Rivers, navigable, was committed, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Two of the Clock: And that Sir Fulke Lucy, Sir Lancelot Lake, Sir Anth. Irby, Mr. Westphaling, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Fra. Clerke, Mr. Geo. Clerke, and Sir Gervas Clifton, be added to the Committee.

Debtors Petition.

A Petition of several Persons which are in Prison for Debt, and not able to pay, was read.

Ordered, That the Committee to which the Bill for limitting and ascertaining the Fees of Officers was committed, be joined to the Committee to which the Bill for regulating the Law was committed: And that this Petition be referred to the said Committee: And Sir Lancelot Lake, Mr. Milward, Mr. Street, and Colonel Robinson, be added to the Committee: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records: And it is referred to them, or any Five of them, to prepare and bring in a Clause to be added to one of the former Bills; or else a distinct Bill for Relief of such as are insolvent, and not able to pay their Debts; and to compel such as are solvent, and lie in Prison, to cozen their Creditors, to pay their just Debts: And the Committee is further impowered to examine and take an Account of such Fees as are demanded, and taken in the several Prisons.

Ordered, That Mr. Morrice have Leave to bring in a Bill for better Observation of the Lord's Day.

Middlesex, &c. Assessment.

A Debate being concerning St. Martin's le Grand, Whether it is chargeable to pay the Tax with the City of London, or the Liberty of Westminster;

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to Sir Robert Atkyns, Sir Phil. Warwick, Mr. Morice, Sir Cha. Harbord, Sir Rich. Browne, Sir Tho. Meres, Sir Rich. Braham, Mr. John Vaughan, Lord Fanshaw, Sir John Bennet, Mr. Seymour, Lord Gorges, Sir Lanc. Lake, Mr. John Jones, Sir Anth. Irby, Lord Richardson, Sir Tho. Clifford, Sir John Knight, Mr. Pepis, Sir John Birkinhead, Sir Tho. Bludworth, Mr. Milward, Mr. Yorke, or any Three of them: And they are to meet this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records: And to examine the Matter of Fact, How St. Martin's le Grand hath usually paid their Tax; and report the Matter to the House.

Ordered, That the Debate of the Matter, Whether the County of Middlesex, and City of Westminster, shall be joined with the City of London, in the Payment of the Tax, be adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Ten of the Clock.

Supply Bill.

A Bill for raising Two Million Four hundred seventyseven thousand Five hundred Pounds Supply for his Majesty was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House: And that the House will resolve into a Committee of the whole House, Tomorrow Morning at Ten of the Clock.

Navy Creditors.

A Petition being tendered, on Behalf of the Creditors of the Navy;

Ordered, That this Petition be read To-morrow Morning.

Epworth, &c. Commons.

Ordered, That these Members following be added to the Committee to which the Bill for settling the Commonable Grounds of Epworth and Gringley is committed; viz. Lord Newburgh, Sir Robert Barnham, Mr. Crouch, Sir Wm. Smith, Lord Gorges, Sir Allan Broderick, Sir Rich. Temple.
