Cottington's Estate.

A BILL to enable Francis Cottington and Charles Cottington to settle and dispose of Lands in Jointure, for any Wife or Wives they shall take in Marriage, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That the said Bill be read the Second time on Tuesday next.

Naval Service.

A Bill for the better enabling the principal Officers and Commissioners of his Majesty's Navy Royal, for the Performance of their Duties in the Service thereof, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the said Bill be read the Second time on Tuesday next.

State of Trade.

Resolved, That the Committee appointed to consider of the Petition of the Clothiers of the Old and New Draperies, are further impowered to inquire into Reasons of the general Decay of Trade; and to consider, how the same may be advanced and improved; and offer their Opinions therein to the House: And, for this Purpose, they have Power to send for Persons, Papers, and Records; and are to sit de die in diem: And that Mr. Henry Coventry, Mr. Crouch, Sir Allan Apsley, Mr. Yorke, Mr. Swinfein, Mr. Barneham, Sir Clifford Clifton, Sir Tho. Strickland, Sir Robert Atkins, Mr. Daniell, Sir Tho. Bludworth, Colonel Kirby, Sir John Fag, Sir Francis Clerke, Sir John Pelham, Mr. Vowell, Sir Tho. Carew, Mr. Wm. Coventry, Sir Tho. Packington's Estate.

A Bill to make void certain Conveyances made by Sir John Packington to Christopher Henne, and others, of certain Lands and Hereditaments lying in or near Aylesbury in the County of Bucks, was read the Second time.

Ministers Maintenance.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for the better Maintenance of Ministers in Cities, Towns Corporate, and Market Towns.

Courts of Justice.

Ordered, That the Bill to prevent Delays, Grievances, and Expences, in Courts of Law and Equity, &c. be read the Second time on Tuesday next.

Triennial Parliaments.

The House, according to former Order, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to take into Consideration the Bill for Repeal of the Act, intituled, An Act for the preventing the Inconveniencies happening by the long Intermission of Parliaments; and for the better Provision for the Calling and Holding of Parliaments once in Three Years at least.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Robert Atkins took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker again took the Chair.

Sir Robert Atkins reports from the said Committee, That the Committee have finished the Bill, with some Alterations and Amendments: Which he read with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

And the same, being twice read, were, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Ordered, That Mr. Pryn, Sir John Brampston, Mr. Solicitor General, Sir William Lowther, or any Two of them, do repair to the Clerk of the House of Lords; to examine, Whether the Title of an Act, expressed in the Bill for Repeal of the Act, intituled, An Act for the preventing the Inconveniencies happening by the long Intermission of Parliaments; and for the better Provision for the Calling and holding of Parliaments once in Three Years at least; be truly recited; and do agree with the Roll there.

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning next, at Eight of the Clock.
