Prayers.

Norwich Walls, &c.

A BILL for raising Monies in the City of Norwich, for Repairing of the Walls, and cleansing the River in the same, was this Day read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Morley's Estate.

A Bill for vesting the Lands and Tenements of Cuthbert Morley, in Lackenby, in Richard Barret, Katherine and Arthur Ingram, their Heirs and Assigns, till they have received certain Monies due unto them, was this Day read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Bp. of Ely's Estate.

Mr. Ashburnham reports, That, according to the Vote of this House, he and Mr. Clarke had attended the Lord Bishop of Ely; and acquainted him with the Desires of this House, to make Mrs. Barker a Lease of the King's Head Tavern in Chancery Lane, for Three Lives; and to take Consideration of the Covenant for new-building the House; and use Mrs. Barker reasonably: And that his Lordship had readily consented to make a Lease for Three Lives to Mrs. Barker, at the Fine agreed to; which was so moderate, that it did not exceed Four Years Value; and therefore there was no Cause to remit any Thing of the Fine, or to mitigate the Covenant for new-building the House with Brick. With which Answer of the Lord Bishop of Ely this House was well satisfied.

Ancolne Level Fen.

An ingrossed Bill for Confirmation of certain Decrees of Sewers, made by the Commissioners for the Limits of the Level of the River of Ancolne in the County of Lincolne, was this Day read the Third time.

The Question being put, That the Damages shall stand, as is appointed, in the Bill;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Resolved, That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title thereof shall be, An Act for Confirmation of certain Decrees of Sewers, made by the Commissioners for the Limits of the Level of the River of Ancholne in the County of Lincolne.

And Sir John Goodrick is to carry up the said Bill to the Lords.

Goldsmiths Wares.

Ordered, That the Bill to prevent stealing of Plate, Jewels, and Goldsmiths Wares, and for Reformation of sundry Inconveniences in the Goldsmiths Trade, be read the first Bill To-morrow Morning.

Stower, &c. Navigation.

The Provisoes, tendered to be added to the Bill for making the Rivers of Stower and Salwerpe navigable, which were, upon the Question, agreed to, and ordered to be ingrossed, being ingrossed accordingly, were this Day read the Third time; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

Two other Provisoes, ingrossed, being tendered to be added to the said Bill, were this Day read Three times.

Resolved, upon the Question, That this House doth agree to the said Provisoes.

Reversing E. of Strafford's Attainder.

An ingrossed Bill sent from the Lords, for reversing the Attainder against the Earl of Strafford, was this Day read the Third time.

Resolved, upon the Question, Nemine contradicente, That this House doth assent to the said Bill.

Salt-makers.

A Petition of the Salt-makers of South and North Shields, Sunderland, Blith, &c. in the Counties of Durham and Northumberland, was this Day read.

The Question being put, That this Petition be committed to the Committee of the King's Revenue;

The House was divided:

The Noes went out.

So it passed in the Affirmative.

Ordered, That the said Committee have Power to make a Sub Committee, in order to this Business, upon the Petition.

Importing Madder.

An ingrossed Bill for the Importing of Madder pure and unmixed, was this Day read the Third time.

Resolved, That the said Bill do pass.

Resolved, That the Title of the said Bill shall be, An Act for the Importing of Madder pure and unmixed.

And Sir John Goodrick is to carry up the same.
