Highways.

A Bill for the better repairing and maintaining Highways and Bridges, within this Kingdom, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That this Bill be read the Second time on Tuesday Morning next.

Army and Navy Debts.

According to an Order of Yesterday, the House resumed the Consideration and Debate of raising Money towards discharging the publick Debts of the Army and Navy, mentioned in the Report from the Committee for examining of publick Debts.

Resolved, That a Tax of Seventy thousand Pounds by the Month, for Six Months, to commence from the First of January 1660, be charged on this Kingdom.

Resolved, That it be referred to his Majesty's Counsel learned, to prepare and bring in a Bill for that Purpose.

Rape Seed.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee for Trade, to consider of what was now offered, touching the buying up and exporting of Rape Seed, of the Growth of this Nation, by Strangers; and to examine the same; and advise what is fit to be proposed for preventing the Inconveniences thereof; and to report the same to the House.
