Prayers.

Irish Adventurers.

THE House, this Day, resumed the Debate upon the Amendments to the Bill for settling Lands upon the Adventurers and Soldiers in Ireland.

Mr. Solicitor reports, A Clause for settling Lands in Ireland on * Masham, and * Moris, for their Lots: Which Clause was twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed unto; and ordered to be Part of the Bill.

He further reports, A Proviso, "That Persons whose Accompts are stated and allowed by this Parliament, for Money, Ships, &c. advanced for Relief of Ireland, in the Years 1642, 1643, 1644, 1645, shall have Lands, respectively, according to their several Sums allotted unto them as deficient Adventurers are provided for in this Act, next and immediately after the deficient Adventurers are satisfied:" Which Proviso was Twice read.

Resolved, That these Words; viz. "or authorized to that Purpose;" be inserted in this Proviso, next after the Word "Parliament," in the * Line of this Proviso.

And the said Clause, so amended, being put to the Question, was agreed unto; and ordered to be Part of the Bill.

He also reports, A Proviso, "That this Act shall not extend to any Part of the Lands expressed in a Survey taken September 5, 1656; containing in all, Two thousand Nine hundred and Eighty-five Acres, Two Roods, Thirty-four Perches, Irish Measure; and ordered, 4 December 1656, to be set out to Methuselah Turner, and others:" Which was read the First time.

The Question being put, That this Proviso be read the Second time;

It passed with the Negative.

He also reports, A Proviso, " That this Act shall not extend to bar Mary Moloy, alias Lewis, a Protestant, Daughter and Heir to Hugh Moloy, alias Lewis of Balliduffe, Esquire, of any Claim, Right, or Title of Action, Suit, or Entry into, or for, the Lands or Estate late of Hugh Moloy, of Balliduffe in Ireland, he dying a Protestant, many Years before the Rebellion:" Which was read the First time.

Resolved, That these Words, "A Protestant. Daughter and Heir to Hugh Moloy of Balliduffe, Esquire," in the Third Line; and these Words, "the said," in the Fifth Line; be omitted; and that these Words, "Moloy, of Balliduffe," be inserted, next after the Word "Hugh;" and that these Words, "he dying a Protestant, many Years before the Rebellion," be omitted; and that these Words, "notwithstanding she did not make her Claim within the Time limited for Claims to be made in that behalf," be added, at the End of this Proviso.

Resolved, That the said Proviso, thus amended, be Part of the Bill.

He also reports, A Proviso, on the behalf of the Administratrix of Cornet Symon Hatt: Which was read.

Resolved, That this Proviso be read the Second time.

The Question being put, That the said Proviso be Part of the Bill;

It passed with the Negative.

He also reports, A Proviso for settling Lands in Donedadee, and Places adjacent, in the County of Kildare in Ireland, now in the Occupation of Dr. John Owen, or his Assigns, on him, and his Heirs: Which was read the First time.

Resolved, That the said Proviso be read the Second time.

The said Proviso was read the Second time, accordingly.

Ordered, That the Debate upon this Bill be adjourned until Saturday Morning next, the First Business; nothing to intervene.
