Civil Law.

ORDERED, That Sir William Roberts and Colonel Grosvenor be added to the Committee for the Civil Law.

Deane Forest.

A Bill for Mitigation of the Forest-Laws within the Forest of Deane, in the County of Gloucester, and for the Preservation of the Wood and Timber, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee for the Forests, and the Bill for Preservation of Timber: And that Colonel Shapcott, Mr. Bond, Mr. Wall, Mr. Cole, Mr. White, Mr. Stephens, Mr. Young, Major Owen, be added to this Committee: And are to meet at Two of the Clock this Afternoon, in the Duchy-Chamber.

Earl of Huntingdon's Estate.

A Bill to confirm the Sale of Lands sold by Ferdinando late Earl of Huntingdon, whereby he paid several Debts; and for Sale of some other Lands, for Payment of the Residue of his Debts; was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to Dr. Clargis, Alderman Foote, Mr. Pedley, Colonel Shapcott, Colonel Rous, Colonel Wilton, Major-General Whaley, Mr. Bedford, Colonel Purefoy, Mr. Moody, Mr. Ash, Colonel Carter, Sir Christofer, Pack, Sir Sam. Sleigh, Mr. Quarles, Mr. Puchin, Mr. Robert Wolsley, Mr. Rolls, Mr. Blaney, Mr. Margetts, Sir Rich. Pardon of Periera, &c.

A Bill for the Pardon of Alvaro Guncalvis Periera, Peter Coeliho, and Sebastian de Olivero, was this Day read the First time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be read the Second time on Tuesday Morning next.

Markham's Petition.

The humble Petition of Colonel Henry Markham was this Day read.

Ordered, That this Petition be referred to the Committee for Ireland, to examine the Matter of Fact, and report the same to the House; and that the Committee have Power to send for Persons, Papers, Witnesses, Records.

Leicester Hospitals.

Ordered, That the Bill for the Hospitals of Leicester be read the Second Time on Tuesday Morning next.

Nayler's Blasphemies.

The House this Day resumed the Debate upon the Report touching James Nayler.

Resolved, That Mr. Bodurda be heard again in this Business.

Resolved, That James Naylor be brought forthwith to the Bar; and that the Report from the Committee be read unto him; and that it be then demanded of him, What he says thereunto, by Confession, or Denial.

He was sent for accordingly; and, being brought to the Bar, keeping on his Hat, the Serjeant, by the Command of the Speaker, took off his Hat; and, being asked, Whether his Name were James Nayler, answered, He is so called: Being asked, How long he hath been called so, answered, Ever since he can remember.

The Report was read to him; and he was demanded, to every Particular, Whether that were his Answer to the Committee; to which he answered particularly, acknowleging them to be so; or to that Effect.

And so withdrew.

Resolved, That James Nayler be called in to the Bar, and demanded several Questions.

He was accordingly called in; and those Questions demanded of him.

Resolved, That this House doth agree with the Committee, in the Report of the Matter of Fact touching James Nayler.

Resolved, That this Debate touching James Nayler, be adjourned till Monday Morning; and nothing to intervene.

Resolved, That the said James Nayler be kept private.
