Members Letters.

ORDERED, That the Post Letters, directed to the several Members of this House, be brought to the Door of this House: And that they be free from Postage, as formerly.

Ordered, That the Letters of the several Members of this House, that go to the several Parts of England, Scotland, and Ireland, be also free from Postage.

Fines on Descent.

An Act for ascertaining of Fines, upon Descent and Alienation of Copyholds of Inheritance, was this Day read the First time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be read the Wednesday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock.

Members to attend.

Resolved, That all the Persons who have been returned to serve in this present Parliament, and have been, or shall be, approved, and either have sat, or may sit, in the House, and are now absent, do give their Attendance on the Service of this House, in the House, before Monday next.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Mr. Henry Cromwell have Leave to go into the Country, to be absent for Fourteen Days.

Alehouses, &c.

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to consider of the Abuses in Alehouses, Tipling Houses, Inns, and Taverns, Tobacco Shops, and Strongwater Houses, and of Gaming Houses, and of Justices of the Peace being Brewers, or Maltsters, or Farmers, or Officers of the Excise, or others, in undue granting Licences: And to revise the Laws touching Alehouses, and made against Drunkenness; and to reduce the same into one Bill; with such Additions or Alterations as are necessary to supply the Defects in them: Viz. to Sir William Strickland, Mr. Stone, Lord Commissioner Whitelock, Lord Chief Justice Glyn, Mr. Hely, Major General Haynes, Major General Goff, Major General Boteler, Colonel Clerk, Major General Berry, Major General Whaley, Sir John Hobart, Mr. Hampden, Colonel Edwards, Major Beake, Mr. Drake, Colonel John Gorges, Colonel Purefoy, Sir Thomas Honiwood, Mr. Lister, Mr. Carter, Lord Commissioner Fienes, Mr. Moody, Colonel Blake, Colonel Foukes, Colonel Fotheringall, Mr. Pickering, Colonel Crofts, Mr. Bodurda, Mr. Cobb, Mr. Bond, Mr. Wood, Colonel Hawksworth, Mr. Carey, Mr. Maidstone, Mr. Bedford, Mr. Robinson, Mr. Drewry, Lord Broghill, Sir Charles Wolsley, Mr. Christofer Lister, Mr. Hoskins, Sir Gilbert Pickering, Mr. Jenkinson, Major General Lilborne, Mr. Smyth, Colonel John Jones, Major Templer, Mr. Fienes, Mr. Fowell, Colonel Beamont, Major General Packer, Colonel Howard, Mr. Waring, Lord Strickland, Colonel J. Resolved, That the Words "Gaming Houses" be inserted into the last Vote.

Excess in Apparel.

Ordered, That the Abuse in Gold and Silver Lace, Wearing Silks, and Fine Linen, and other Excess in Apparel, be referred to the Grand Committee for Trade.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Major Templer have Leave to go into the Country for a Fortnight.

Ordered, That Mr. Stapeley have Leave to go into the Country for a Fortnight.

Weights and Measures.

Ordered, That the Business of Weights and Measures be referred to the Grand Committee for Trade.

Indecent Fashions.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee lastnamed, to take into Consideration the Matter now in Debate, touching undecent Fashions; to prepare a Bill for the Redress thereof; and report it to the House.
