Friday, the 22d of April, 1659.

Prayers.

Grant to Cooper.

RESOLVED, &c. That the Sum of Fifty Pounds be given and bestowed upon Mr. Cooper, the Minister, for his great Labour and Pains, in attending the House daily, every Morning, since the first Meeting of the Parliament, and performing the Duty of Prayers with the House.

Resolved, &c. That a Committee be appointed, to attend his Highness the Lord Protector, to desire his Highness to grant his Privy-Seal, for the Payment of the Sum of Fifty Pounds out of the Receipt of the Exchequer, to Mr. Cooper, for his Labour and Pains in attending on this House, and performing the Duty of Prayers with them every Morning, since the First Meeting of the Parliament.

Mr. Godfrey, Sir Arthure Hesilrige, Sir Henry Vane, Mr. Annesley, Mr. John Weaver, are appointed a Committee: And they, or any Two of them, are to attend his Highness the Lord Protector, from this House, to desire him to grant his Privy-Seal, for the Payment of the Sum of Fifty Pounds to Mr. Cooper the Minister, accordingly.

The House taking Notice, That some of the Members of the House went out of the House; It was

Resolved, &c. That those Gentlemen, Members of this House, who now went out of the House; be called in again, to give their Attendance in the House.

Resolved, &c. That none of the Members of this House do depart out of the House, without the Leave of the House.

Strangers.

Resolved, &c. That all Strangers be commanded forthwith to depart out of the Lobby, or outward Room, before the Parliament-Door; and that none but such as are Members of the House be suffered to come in; and the Door of the said outward Room be kept shut.

Adjournment.

Resolved, &c. That this House be adjourned until Monday Morning next.
