Prayers.
Hedon Writ.
MR. Thomas Strickland, being chosen to serve as a Member in this present Parliament for the Boroughs of Hedon and of Beverley in the County of Yorke, declared, That he made his Choice to serve for the Borough of Beverley; and waves his Election for Hedon.
Resolved, &c. That a new Writ be issued, for the Election of a Burgess to serve for the Borough of Hedon in the County of Yorke, in the Place of Mr. Thomas Strickland, doubly returned: And that Mr. Speaker do send his Warrant unto the Clerk of the Commonwealth in Chancery, for the Issuing of a new Writ, for the Election of a Burgess to serve for the said Borough, accordingly.
Member makes his Election.
Sir Jerome Sankey, being chosen to serve as a Member in this present Parliament for the Borough of Woodstock in the County of Oxford, and for the Counties of Tipperary and Waterford in Ireland, declared, That he made his Choice to serve for the Borough of Woodstock; and waved his Election for the Counties of Tipperary and Waterford.
Herbert's Petition.
Mr. James Herbert presented to the House the humble Petition of John Herbert, youngest Son of the late Earl of Pembroke, deceased: And it is ordered, That Tuesday next be appointed for the Reading of this Petition.
Aldeborough Writ.
The Lord Lambert, being chosen to serve as a Member in this present Parliament for the several Boroughs of Aldeborough and Pomfrett in the County of Yorke, declared, That he made his Choice to serve for the Borough of Pomfrett; and waves his Election for Aldeborough.
Resolved, &c. That a new Writ be issued, for the Election of a Burgess to serve for the Borough of Aldeborough in the County of Yorke, in the Place of the Lord Lambert, doubly returned: And that Mr. Speaker do send his Warrant unto the Clerk of the Commonwealth in Chancery, for the Issuing of a new Writ for the Election of a Burgess to serve for the said Borough, accordingly.
Respecting the Other House.
The House, according to the Order made Yesterday, resumed the Debate then adjourned, that this House will transact with the Persons now sitting in the Other House, as an House of Parliament.
Resolved, &c. That this Debate be adjourned till Monday Morning, at Eight of the Clock; and that the same be then proceeded in: And that nothing else do then intervene.
