Prayers.
Lewes Writ.
COLONEL Morley, being chosen to serve as a Member of this present Parliament for the County of Sussex, and also for the Borough of Lewes in the same County, declared, That he did make Choice to serve for the County; and waved his Election for the Borough of Lewes.
Ordered, That a new Writ be issued, for the Election of a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of Lewes in the County of Sussex: And that Mr. Speaker do send his Warrant to the Clerk of the Commonwealth in Chancery, for the Issuing of a new Writ, for the Election of a Burgess to serve for the Borough of Lewes, accordingly.
Bramber Writ.
Mr. Fagg, being chosen to serve as a Member in this present Parliament for the County of Sussex, and also for the Borough of Bramber in the same County, declared, That he did make Choice to serve for the County; and waved his Election for the Borough of Bramber.

Higham Ferrers Election.
Mr. Knightley reports from the Committee of Elections and Privileges, The State of the Case upon the Election for the Borough of Highham-Ferrers in the County of Northampton: That one Ralph Suckley Esquire, and James Nutley Esquire, had been elected; and were, by one Indenture, returned to serve for the Borough aforesaid: That this House having declared, That but One Burgess ought to be returned to serve for the said Borough: and that the aforesaid Return and Election of Two Burgesses to serve for the said Borough was a void Election and Return; It was the Opinion of the said Committee, That a new Writ be issued, for the Election of One Burgess to serve for the said Borough.
Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee of Elections and Privileges, That a new Writ be issued, for the Election of One Burgess to serve for the Borough of Higham-Ferrers in the County of Northampton: And that Mr. Speaker do send his Warrant to the Clerk of the Commonwealth in Chancery, for the Issuing of a new Writ, for the Election of One Burgess to serve for the said Borough of Higham-Ferrers, accordingly.
Recognizing Protector's Title.
The House, according to the Order made Yesterday' proceeded to take into Consideration a previous Vote upon the Matter of the Debate of the House, before the Commitment of the Bill Twice read, intituled, An Act of Recognition of his Highness' Right and Title to be Protector and Chief Magistrate of the Commonwealth of England, Scotland, and Ireland, and the Dominions and Territories thereunto belonging.
Resolved, &c. That this Debate be adjourned till Tomorrow Morning, at Eight of the Clock; and that nothing else do then intervene.
