Grant to Gen. Cromwell.
THE Lord Commissioner Lisle reports Amendments to the Act for settling certain Manors, Lands, and Tenements upon Oliver Cromwell, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, and Captain General of all the Forces raised by Authority of Parliament, and his Heirs; Which were this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, assented unto.
The Question being put that this Act be ingrossed;
It passed in the Negative.
And the said Act, so amended, being put to the Question, passed.
Scotch Affairs.
Resolved, That in the first Paragraph of the Declaration to be sent into Scotland, in the last Line, after the Word, "Encouragement," these Words be add ed, viz. " therein to the People of that Nation."
Ordered, That Two thousand of these Declarations be printed, in the usual Letter wherein Acts of Parliament are printed: And that the same be sent into Scotland to the Commissioners sent thither from the Parliament.
Resolved, That this be the Title of the Declaration, viz. "A Declaration of the Parliament of the Commonwealth "of England, concerning the Settlement of Scotland."
Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee, to consider how to make that Part of the Instruction to the Commissioners who are to go into Scotland, concerning the Seals effectual; and what is fit to be done therein; and report it to the House: Lord Commissioner Whitelock, Lord Commissioner Lisle, Colonel Marten, Sir Henry Mildmay, Mr. Love, Mr. Strickland, Lord Grey, Sir Henry Vane, Mr. Carew, Major General Harrison, Alderman Allein, or any Three of them: and are to meet in Mr. Speaker's Chamber, this Afternoon, at Two of Clock; and so de die in diem.

Mr. Speaker, according to former Order, reported to the House, the Speech delivered in the House by the Lord Catts, One of the Lords Ambassadors from the High and Mighty the Lords the States General of the United Provinces, in Latin and English: And the said Speech was read in English by the Clerk.
