Howard's Petition.

THE humble Petition of William Howard, Gallerykeeper in the Church of Margarett's, Westminster, was this Day read.

Ordered, That this Petition be referred to the Committee, to whom the Petition of Mr. Buck is referred.

Grant to Dr. Owen.

A Bill for settling of forfeited Lands in Ireland on Dr. John Owen, in lieu of Lands formerly ordered him in England, by Parliament, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee for Ireland.

Irish Adventurers.

Resolved, That the Bill for the Adventurers for Ireland be read on Saturday next.

Creditors, &c.

Resolved, That the Bill for Creditors and Prisoners be read on Monday next.

Privilege.

The House being informed, that Thomas Denman and Wm. Stanton, an Attorney, were at the Door, according to the Summons, to answer the Breach of Privilege, in prosecuting an Outlawry against Colonel Wood, a Member of Parliament; they were called in: And, being come to the Bar.

Thomas Denman, being examined, confesseth, he did prosecute an Outlawry against Colonel Wood, and others; which was begun before this Parliament: That he took out the Exigent since, because he did not know, that he might omit one of them; and since hath entered a Retraxi. As to Colonel Wood, he saith, he did not know that he was a Parliament-man, nor that this was a Breach of Privilege, being no Restraint of his Person.

Stanton being examined, saith, that his Attorney did nothing but by his Direction.

And thereupon were commanded to withdraw.

Resolved, That the said Thomas Denman and Wm. Stanton be committed to Newgate for One Month.

They were thereupon called in to the Bar; and, upon their Knees, received their Judgment, accordingly.

Mr. Goodwyn reports from the Committee, to whom the Business touching the Breach of Privilege in the Arrest of Major Waring, was referred; that, upon Examination of the Business touching Mr. Harvey, the Committee are of Opinion, that Mr. Robert Harvey be discharged.

Ordered, That the said Robert Harvey be discharged of his Imprisonment, paying his Fees.

Protector's Answer.

The House, according to former Order, resumed the Debate, adjourned Yesterday, upon his Highness' Answer to the Petition and Advice presented unto him by the Parliament.

Resolved, That this Debate be adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock; and nothing to intervene.

Leave of Absence.

Resolved, That Mr. John Goodwin have Leave to go into the Country.
