Prayers.

Privilege.

UPON Information, that the Order of this House hath not been performed, whereby the Under-Sheriff of Middlesex was ordered forthwith to return, to Sir Robert Pye, the Money deposited in the Hands of his Deputy, upon the Arrest of the said Sir Robert Pye, in Breach of the Privilege of this House;

Ordered, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, do apprehend Thomas Crooke late Under-Sheriff of the County of Middlesex, William Hastings his late Deputy, and John Spragne, the Person at whose Suit Sir Robert Pye was arrested: And that he bring them, as Delinquents, to the Bar of this House, to answer their Offences.

Scandalous Ministers.

Mr. James Ash reports from the Committee, A Bill, intituled, An Act for Ejecting of ignorant, scandalous, and insufficient Ministers and Schoolmasters: Which was this Day read the First time; and appointed to be read the Second time on Friday next.

Mr. James Ash further reports from the Committee to whom the Ordinance for ejecting ignorant, scandalous, and insufficient Ministers and Schoolmasters, was referred, That it is the humble Opinion of this Committee, that, in regard this Committee hath prepared an Act for Ejecting of scandalous Ministers, which is ready to be reported to the Parliament, for Prevention of all Inconveniences which may happen, by reason of the present Acting of the Commissioners upon the Ordinance for ejecting scandalous, ignorant, and insufficient Ministers, That the said Ordinance be suspended.

The Question being propounded, That the Ordinance for ejecting scandalous, ignorant, and insufficient Ministers and Schoolmasters, be suspended;

And the Question being put, whether That Question shall be now put;

The House was divided.
The Noes went forth.

So it passed in the Negative.
