Charges against Lenthall.

THE House resumed the Debate upon the Report made Yesterday, touching Sir John Lenthall.

Resolved, That this Business, so far as concerns the Breach of Trust, by Sir John Lenthall, be re-committed to the same Committee, to hear Sir John Lenthall therein, and make Report to the House.

Resolved, That the Matters of Crime concerning Murder and Blood charged on Sir John Lenthall, be referred to some Justices of the Peace to examine the same, and proceed therein according to Law and Justice; viz. to Mr. John Blackwell the younger, Mr. Houghton, Mr. Sleigh, Colonel Thomas Cooper, or any Two of them.

Resolved, That the Matter touching Delinquency, charged on Sir John Lenthall, be re-committed to the Committee of Prisons and Prisoners.

Prisons, &c.

The House proceeded in the Debate of the Second Report, made Yesterday, from the Committee for Prisons and Prisoners.

Resolved, That it be referred back to this Committee, to prepare an Act for Redress of the general Grievances touching Prisons and Prisoners: And report it to the House, with all Speed.

Resolved, That the said Committee do likewise take Consideration of the particular Cases in the said Report, and present some Remedies therein to the House: And that Mr. Taylor be added to this Committee.

Resolved, That the House be called To-morrow.

Leave of Absence.

Resolved, That Mr. St. Nicholas have Liberty to go into the Country for a Fortnight.

Reports to be made.

Resolved, That this Day Fortnight be appointed to receive Reports from the Council of State, touching such Things as depended before them, before this Parliament met: And that the Report now tendered on the Case of the Earl of Nottingham be reported in the first Place.

Law.

Resolved, That the Debate now in the House, touching the Law, be adjourned till To-morrow Morning.
