Tuesday, the 21th of September, 1652.

Prayers.

Navy Office.

ORDERED, That it be referred to the Committee of the Navy, to consider of the Salaries allowed to the Register Accomptant, and of Persons fit to execute the said Office; and report the same To-morrow Morning.

Popish Books.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of plundered Ministers, to consider how Popish Books may be suppressed.

Regulating Printing.

A Bill for reviving a former Act, intituled, An Act against unlicensed and scandalous Books and Pamphlets, and for better Regulating of Printing, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That this Bill be now read the Second time.

The said Bill was now read the Second time accordingly; and, upon the Question, committed unto the Committee of plundered Ministers.

Invalid Soldiers.

Ordered, That the Sum of One thousand Pounds, formerly ordered to be paid, by the Commissioners of Excise, to the Treasurers for maimed Soldiers, shall be repaid unto the said Commissioners of Excise with Interest for the same, at the End of one Year now next ensuing, out of the Fines and Additional Excise appointed for Relief of maimed Soldiers; and that those Fines and Additional Excise aforesaid shall be their Security.

New Business.

Resolved, That the Parliament doth declare, That, after this Day, they will not receive any other Business into Debate, until the Bill touching Delinquents is passed.
