Commissioners of Assessments.

ORDERED, That Thomas Bateman, Alderman of Reding, and Joseph Claver Gentleman, be added Commissioners for the monthly Assessments, in the County of Berks; and that they be impowered to act as Commissioners accordingly.

Forfeited Estates.

The House this Day resumed the Debate upon the Amendments to the Bill for Sale of the Lands and Estates of several Persons forfeited to the Commonwealth for Treason.

Resolved, That the Name of Thomas Jefferson of Hexham, be inserted into this Bill.

Resolved, That the Name of Philip Jefferson of Hexham, be inserted into this Bill.

Resolved, That the Name of John Lawson be inserted into this Bill.

Resolved, That the Name of Francis Orbe of SuttonGrange be inserted into this Bill.

Resolved, That the Name of Sir Edward Ratcliff be inserted into this Bill.

Resolved, That the Name of Thomas Rotherford of Rootchester, be inserted into this Bill.

The humble Petition of William Swinborne Esquire was this Day read.

The humble Petition of John Thorneton an Infant, Son and Heir of Sir Nicholas Thornton of Netherwitton in the County of Cumberland, Knight, was this Day read.

Fowke's Petition.

East India Company.

The humble Petition of the present Members, the Governors, and Company of Merchants of London, trading into the East-Indies, was this Day read.

Resolved, That the Debate upon these Petitions be adjourned until To-morrow Sevennight; and that the Committee to whom the Business touching Alderman Fowke is referred, do then report to the Parliament their Proceedings therein; and that the said Committee do meet this Afternoon.
