Treaty with the King.
A Letter from the Commissioners in the Isle of Wight, of 11 Novembris 1648, giving an Account of their Proceedings since the last of the Eighth Instant, with the several Papers therein inclosed, were this Day read.
Fee Farm Rents.
Mr. Lilisbon Long reports the Amendments to the Ordinance for Discharge of the Arrears of Fee Farm Rents and other Rents due to the Crown or State, from Persons who have adhered to the Parliament, and have been plundered, or otherwise deprived of the Profits of their Lands: The which were read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, re-committed unto the same Committee, with the Addition of Mr. Pryn, Mr. Say, Mr. Bois, Mr. Recorder, Sir Anthony Irby, Mr. Nath. Stephens, Mr. Pury, Sir Edward Parterich, Mr. Fowell, Mr. Jesson, Mr. Lechmere, Mr. Stapilton, Mr. Waller, Mr. Wheeler, Mr. Foxwist, Mr. Gewen: And are to meet this Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber: And the Care of this Business is more particularly referred to Mr. Pryn, Mr. Wheeler, and Mr. Long, or any one of them.

Resolved, &c. That this Answer of the King's, of 8 Novembris 1648, to the Proposition concerning the Naming of Officers, is satisfactory.
Scotch Affairs.
A Letter, from the Committee of Estates of Scotland, from Edinburgh, of 7 Novembris 1648, signed, "In the Name, and by the Command, of the Committee of Estates of Scotland, your very loving Friends and Servants, Loudoun, Cancellarius," was this Day read.
Resolved, &c. That this Letter be forthwith printed: And that it be presently communicated to the Lords; and their Concurrence desired, That it may be printed.
Message to Lords.
Sir John Danvers went to the Lords with this Message.
He is further to put the Lords in mind of the Conference Yesterday; and to expedite their Answer to the Matters of that Conference, that the Matters relating thereunto may be speeded to the Isle of Wight.
He likewise carried the explanatory Order for Mr. Peck's Monies.
Justifying Parliament.
1° & 2° vice lecta est Billa, An Act for justifying the Proceedings of the Parliament in the late War, and for declaring all Oaths, Declarations, Proclamations, and other Proceedings against it, to be void:- Committed unto Colonel Rigby, Mr. Pryn, Mr. Lechmere, Mr. Fienis, Sir Walter Erle, Mr. Seldon, Sir Harbottle Grimston, Mr. * Corbett, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Annesley, Mr. Recorder, Mr. Knightley, Mr. Swynfen, Mr. Wheeler, Mr. Prideaux, Colonel Bosevile, Sir Robert Harley, Mr. Priestley, Colonel Copley, Mr. Lisle, Sir Peter Wentworth, Mr. Stephens, Mr. Gewen, Mr. Darley, Sir James Harrington, and all the Lawyers of the House: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in the new Committee Chamber: And the Care of this Business is more particulary referred to Mr. Pryn.

Sir John Danvers brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the Printing of the Letter from the Committee of Estates of Scotland: To the Order concerning Mr. Henry Peck, a Member of this House: And they will take the Business of the Conference Yesterday into speedy Consideration; and send Answer by Messengers of their own.
Revolted Ships
A Message from the Lords, by Sir Edward Leech and Mr. Page;
The Lords have commanded us to deliver unto you this Letter: It was directed to the Committee of Derby House, and from thence reported to the Lords; and they have thought sit to communicate it to this House.
The said Letter, being of 11 Novembris 1648, from aboard the St. George, of Helvoetsluce, was read; giving an Account of divers of the revolted Ships that were come in, and reduced.
Resolved, &c. That a Letter of Thanks be prepared, and signed by Mr. Speaker, and sent to the Admiral.
Resolved, &c. That the Sum of Fifty Pounds be bestowed upon Nathanael Duncan, the Messenger who brought the Letters giving an Account of the very seasonable and good News, of the Coming in and Reducing of divers of the revolted Ships: And that the Committee of the Navy do forthwith pay the said Sum of Fifty Pounds to the said Nathanael Duncombe, accordingly.
Resolved, &c. That it be referred to the Committee of Derby House, to consider of, and, in such manner as they shall think sit, to take care for securing the revolted Ships, that they may not come forth; by the Stay of some of the Ships there, if they shall think sit; and by Calling of such others of the Fleet as may guard the Coasts, and secure Trade.

Mr. Swynfen reports a Letter, to be sent to the Lord Admiral, to return him the hearty Thanks of this House, for his happy and successful Service in this late Business, concerning the revolted Ships: The which was read; and, upon the Question, assented unto; and ordered to be sent to the Lords for their Concurrence; and to be signed by the Speakers of both Houses.
Mr. Swynfen is appointed to carry it to the Lords.
Ld. Valencia.
Whereas the Sum of Five hundred Pounds per Annum was ordered to the Lord Viscount Valencia, and others, appointed, by both Houses, to go over into Ireland, as Privy Counsellors, with the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, the Lord Lisle: It is Ordered, in like manner as formerly it was in the Behalf of Sir Wm. Parsons, Sir Adam Loftus, Sir John Temple, and Sir Robert Meredeth, That the Treasurer at Wars for Ireland do, out of such Monies as are, or shall be, in his Hands, pay unto the Lord Viscount Valencia so much Monies as may make up the said Lord Viscount Valencia the full Sum of Five hundred Pounds; accounting, towards the Making up of the said Sum of Five hundred Pounds, the Monies the Lord Valencia hath already received of the said Five hundred Pounds, assigned unto him by former Order, as aforesaid.
Prisoner discharged.
Resolved, &c. That Captain Hawkeridge, committed by former Order of this House, be forthwith discharged from any further Restraint.
Lords desire a Conference.
A Message from the Lords, by Sir Edward Leech and Mr. Page;
The Lords desire a Conference by Committees of both Houses, To-morrow at Eleven of Clock, in the Painted Chamber, if it may stand with the Conveniency of this House, touching that Part of the Conference Yesterday, concerning the Two Persons to be excepted from Pardon.
Conference agreed to.
Answer returned by the same Messengers; That this House has considered their Lordships Message; and do agree to a Conference, To-morrow at Eleven of Clock, as is desired.
