Prayers.

Army.

ORDERED, That Mr. Strickland be added to the Committee of the Army.

Navy.

Ordered, That Sir John Bourchier be added to the Committee of the Navy.

Door shut.

Resolved, That the Door be shut till Twelve of the Clock.

Oath, &c. before Exchequer.

An Act for Discharging all Lords of Liberties, or their Bailiffs, from taking any Oath upon passing any Account, or suing out any Quietus est, in any Office in the Court of Exchequer, was this Day read the Third time; and the Debate adjourned till Tuesday next.

Disaffected Ministers.

Sir Henry Mildmay reports from the Council of State, That the Council hath Informations, from divers Places of this Nation, of the great Disaffection of several Ministers; and their Disobedience to the Orders and Acts of Parliament; and Disservice, in stirring up the People against the Government; which are like to produce bad Effects: And that the House be desired to take it into their Consideration; and appoint some fit Remedies for the Prevention of that Mischief.

A Letter from Grafton, of the Thirteenth of October 1650, from the Lord Grey, was this Day read.

Non-observance of Thanksgiving.

Ordered, by the Parliament, That the Lord Mayor of London, and the several Militias of London, Westminster, Southwarke, and the Hamlets of the Tower, do, on Tuesday Morning next, give an Account to the Parliament of all such Ministers within their respective Jurisdictions, who did not observe, and yield Obedience to, the Act for appointing the Eighth Day of October Instant for a Day of publick Thanksgiving, according to the Order of Parliament of the Ninth of October Instant: And that Mr. Alderman Atkin do give Notice hereof to the Lord Mayor of London.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Council of State, upon Information given to the Parliament of the Neglect of divers Ministers in the several Counties, in the Observation of the last Day of Thanksgiving, That, upon such Informations as they have, or shall receive, they do report to the House the Names of such Ministers, as they shall find most refractory or dangerous, in disturbing the Peace of the Nation, or depraving the present Government; and their Opinion, what is fit to be done therein, that the Parliament may take it into their Consideration for further Order.
