RESOLVED, That the Door be shut till Twelve of Clock.

Barbadas, &c.

Colonel Thompson reports the Amendments to the Act prohibiting Commerce and Trade to the Barbadas, Antigo, Virginia, and Bermudas alias Summer's Islands; which were this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, assented unto,

The Question being put, That the said Act be ingrossed;

It passed with the Negative.

The said Act, so amended, being put to the Question, passed: And

It is Ordered, That the said Act be forthwith printed and published.

Ordered, That the several Letters Patents, concerning the Barbados, Bermudas, Caribee Islands, and Virginia, be brought and delivered into Parliament, by This-daythree-weeks, to be disposed of as the Parliament shall think fit.

Ordered, That the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament do forthwith summon the several Persons whom it doth concern to bring in the said Letters Patents accordingly.

Ordered, That the Council of State be authorized and required to give Order to the Generals at Sea, That they take care, in case any Ships shall be found by them, trading to Barbados, Bermudas, Virginia, Antigos, and other Islands, contrary to the Act prohibiting Trade with those Parts; that they make Stay of them, until they shall have given an Account thereof to the Parliament, or Council of State, and receive further Directions therein.

Mr. Thomas Challenor reports from the Council of State, That the Council finds it necessary for the Reduction of the Islands of Barbados, and any other Places which do, or shall, adhere unto the said Island, and their Proceedings; and for the Prevention of any Trade, which may be held with them, by any Persons whatsoever, whereby they may be enabled to persist in their Opposition to the Government of this Commonwealth; That a Fleet of Ships should be dispatched away thither, with all possible Speed: A List whereof, containing the Force of the several Ships to be sent, is hereunto annexed: That the Parliament be moved, That if they shall approve thereof, that they will give Order to the Committee of the Navy, to take care that Pay may be provided for such a Number of Men and Ships, as is mentioned in the said List.

One thousand Snaphance Musquets.

One hundred Carabines.

One hundred Steel Lances.

Two hundred Land Soldiers.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of the Navy, to consider of the List presented, and what Ships are fit to be employed, and the Number of Men: And how the same may be provided and paid; and present their Opinions therein to the Parliament.

Ordered, That what Sum and Sums of Money shall arise, and be brought in to the Committee of the Navy, upon the Discovery of the Estate late belonging to the Archbishop of Canterbury, or any other Discovery of like Nature, which shall be made unto them, shall go and be employed towards the setting forth the said Ships and Men: And that the Committee of the Navy do, in the mean time, go on to prepare for setting out the said Ships accordingly.

Letter, &c. referred.

Ordered, That the Letter directed to the Parliament, delivered to Mr. Speaker, with the Paper inclosed, be referred to the Council of State; to take Consideration thereof; and to make Report to the House, as they shall see Cause.

Irish Commissioners.

Ordered, That the Instructions for the Commissioners for Ireland be read To-morrow Morning, the first Business.

Raising Money.

Ordered, That the Bill touching raising Four hundred thousand. . . . . . be reported To-morrow Morning.
