Prayers.

Navy.

RESOLVED, &c. That there be a Winter Guard sitted to Sea.

Resolved, &c. That this Winter Guard shall consise of Two thousand Seven hundred and Eighty-five Men.

Resolved, &c. That the Committee of the Navy do make Provision of Victuals, and all other Provisions necessary to sit the Winter Guard to Sea.

Goldsmiths Hall Committee.

Ordered, That the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall do meet this Afternoon, and so constantly upon the Days appointed: And the Members of this House that are of that Committee, are injoined to attend duly that Service.

Navy.

Resolved, &c. That the Sum of Fifty thousand Pounds be charged upon the Receipts at Goldsmiths Hall, in Course, and applied to the Navy, and employed for the carrying on the Affairs of the Navy: And that an Ordinance be prepared and brought in to this Purpose: And that it be referred to the Committee of the Navy, to prepare and bring in this Ordinance.

Delinquents Fines.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall, to report the State of the Monies there, the Grounds of the Obstructions in the bringing in of the Delinquents Second Payment of their Fines: And that they do prepare and bring in an Ordinance for removing the said Obstructions, and for the speedy and due bringing in the Second Payments; and for bringing in Delinquents, capable of Composition, to compound.

Pardoning Delinquents.

Mr. Edward Ashe carried to the Lords, for their Concurrence, the Ordinances for pardoning the Delinquencies of Edward Kynaston, Thomas Foster, Henry Butler, Nicolas Shepheard, Robert Reeve, John Forde, Laurence, Carlile, Nicolas Spicer, Gilbert Yard, George Leach, Toby Hodson, Sir Guy Palmes, David Walter, Wm. Godolphin, John Hoskins, Wm. Delinquents Estates.

Resolved, &c. That the Sequestrations, Fines, and Compositions, of the new Delinquents of North Wales, that are liable to Sequestration upon their Engagements in the late Insurrections in North Wales and Anglesey, after the Engagements already charged thereupon first satisfied, be applied to the Navy, and employed for carrying on the Affairs of the Navy: And that it be referred to the Committee of the Navy, to prepare and bring in an Ordinance for laying on these Sequestrations, and raising these Fines and Compositions, and bringing those Persons to Composition, and for applying their Fines to the Service of the Navy, accordingly.

Navy Loan.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of the Navy, to send for and treat with the Company of Merchant Adventurers, for the Loan of the Sum of Twenty thousand Pounds, for the carrying on the present Affairs of the Navy.

Answer from Lords.

Mr. Edward Ashe brings Answer, That the Lords will take the Ordinances into speedy Consideration; and send Answer by Messengers of their own.

Army.

Ordered, That the Ordinances and Reports, and other Considerations, concerning the Soldiery of the Kingdom, be read, and taken into Debate, on Saturday Morning next, the first Business; and nothing to intervene; and, in the first Place, the Ordinance concerning the Guards.

Ld. Goreing.

A Letter from the Lord Goreing, from Windsore Castle, of 3 Octobris 1648, was this Day read.

Resolved, &c. That the Business concerning the Lord Goreing be proceeded in To-morrow Morning, the first Business, after Mr. Speaker takes the Chair.

Weymouth, &c. Garisons.

A Letter from Colonel James Heane, the Governor of Weymouth, from Weymouth, of 30 Septembris 1648, directed, "To the Committee at Derby House," was this Day read; and likewise some Propositions and Desires, reported from that Committee for the Garisons of Weymouth, and Melcombe Regis, and the Isle of Portland.

Ordered, That the Lord General be desired to take some speedy and effectual Course, for the Safety and Security of the Garisons of Weymouth, and of Portland Isle and Castle, by sending Forces of the Army thither for the Preservation of those Places.
