Prayers.

Clithero.

ORDERED, That the Bill touching Clithero be taken into Consideration This-day-sevennight, the first Business.

A Person summoned.

Ordered, That * * Chamberlen * * be summoned to appear at the Bar of this House, on This-day-fortnight.

Ministers Maintenance.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of plundered Ministes, to consider of, and prepare, an Act or Order, to be pesented to the House, for a Way and Means, how such Augmentations as have been formerly made for the Maintenance of Ministers, out of the Impropriations of Papists an Delinquents, may be paid; and to report the same on Friday Morning, the first Business.

Embassy from Holland.

Mr. Reyolds reports from the Members sent to the Lord Gerard Schaepe, Commissioner from the States of Holland and West Frizland, That they did, according to the Order of the House, on Friday last, attend the said Commissioner with the Vote and Order of the Parliament; and deliverd him the said Vote and Order.

Dr. Drury.

Ordered, That the Commissioners for Compounding with Delinquents do give Order, That the Augmentation, formerly settled on Doctor Drury, be paid and satisfied unto him, according to former Order in that Behalf.

Norwich Weavers.

Ordered, That the Amendments to the Act for the Weavers; Norfolk and Norwich be reported on Thursday Morning next.

Northumberland Petition.

Ordered, That the Petition from the County of Northumberland be taken into Consideration To-morrow at Eleven Clock: And that Mr. Speaker do then take the Cha.

Irish Ladies.

Ordered, That the Business touching the Irish Ladies, and other Gentlewomen, be taken up on Friday Morning next And that Mr. Dove do then report the same accordingly.

Letter read.

A Letter from the Lord Broughall, of the Sixteenth of April 1650, with another Letter inclosed, were this Day read.

Militia.

Mr. Heveningham reports from the Council of State, A Bill for settling the Militia of the Commonwealth.

Which was this Day read the First and Second time.

And the Question being put, That these Words; viz. "proportioned unto, and not exceeding, the Rate of Ninety thousand Pounds per Month, charged for the Army;" shall be committed;

It passed with the Negative.

And the said Bill, so amended, was, upon the Question committed unto Colonel Purefoy, Sir Peter Wentworth, Sir Wm. Armyn, Mr. Fagge, Colonel Downes, Mr. Hayes, Mr. Ralegh, Mr. Lechmere, Mr. Hill, Mr. Harby, Sir Wm. Masham, Major General Skippon, Sir Henry Mildmay, Mr. Heveningham, Mr. Wallop, Mr. Corbett, Mr. Goodwyn, Sir Peter Temple, Colonel Morley, Colonel Marten, Colonel Stapley, Sir Wm. Brereton, Sir John Hippisley, Mr. Christopher Marten, Colonel Ven, Major Lister, Colonel Wauton, Colonel Harrison, Sir Wm. Masham, Alderman Allen, Alderman Atkins, Mr. Salwey; or any Five of them: And all that will come, to have Voices: And are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber; and so de die in diem.

And the more particular Care hereof is referred to Colonel Harrison, and Mr. Heveningham.

Ordered, That the Act concerning the Militia of Westminster be read on Thursday next, the first Business; nothing to intervene.

Ordered, That Major General Skippon do bring in an Act for the impowering the Militia of London to raise Horse in London, and the Liberties, on Thursday Morning next.
