Prayers.

Fee-farm Rents.

ORDERED, That the Committee touching the Bill for Sale of the Fee-farm Rents, do meet this Afternoon; and so de die in diem; and bring in the said Bill on Thursday Morning next.

Relief of Creditors.

Mr. Say reports, by way of Amendments to the Bill for Relief of Creditors, a Proviso: Which was twice read.

Resolved, That the Time of Six Months, mentioned in the Proviso, be made for Twelve Months.

Resolved, That this Proviso be committed.

Resolved, That this Bill be recommitted to the same Committee; and be brought in again This-day-sevennight: And all that come to have Voices.

Probate of Wills.

Ordered, That the Act for Probate of Wills be reported on Saturday next, the first Business.

Southampton Committees.

Ordered, That Richard Cromwell Esquire be added to all the Committees for the County of Southampton.

Committee of Assessments.

Ordered, That Richard Lucy Esquire, Mr. Thomas Legge, and Mr. Thomas Wavell, be added to the Committee for the Assessments of the Army in the Isle of Wight.

Crown Lands.

Colonel Jones reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for removing Obstructions in the Sale of the Honours, Manors, and Lands, of the late King, Queen, and Prince, . . . . . . Amendments to the said Bill: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed unto.

And the Question being put, That the said Bill be ingrossed;

It passed with the Negative.

And the said Bill, being put to the Question, passed; and . . . ordered to be forthwith printed and published.

Grant to Walford.

Colonel Rich reports an Act for settling the Messuage or Tenement over Worcester House Gate in the Strand on Edward Walford, and his Heirs.

Which was this Day read the First and Second time.

Ordered, That Edward Walford Gentleman shall continue the Possession of the Tenement over the Gate of Worcester House, until Worcester House, and the said Tenement, shall be sold: And that, upon the Sale thereof, the said Edward Walford shall have Three hundred Pounds out of the Monies to be raised by Sale thereof.

Ale and Beer.

Mr. Aldworth reports an Act touching the Way of collecting the Excise of Ale and Beer brewed and spent in private Families.

Which was this Day read the First and Second time.

And the Question being put, That this Act be committed;

It passed with the Negative.

Resolved, That this Bill be ingrossed.

Assessments.

The Question being propounded, That it be referred to a Committee, to consider of the several Ordinances for the Assessments for the British Army, upon the whole Debate now had in the House;

And the Question being put, That the Collection of the said Assessments for the British Army, in the Counties of Oxon, Berks, and Hants, be suspended for a Month, be Part of the Question;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went forth.

So it passed with the Negative.

Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee, to consider of the several Ordinances for the Assessments for the Brittish Army, upon the whole Debate now had in the House; and that they report their Opinions therein to the House forthwith: Viz. unto Colonel Morley, Colonel Jones, Colonel Martin, Colonel Downes, Mr. Scott, Lord Commissioner Lisle, Mr. Allen, Mr. Skinner, Sir Peter Wentworth, Colonel Rich, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Browne, Mr. Hill, Mr. Love, Colonel Venn, Mr. Leaman, Mr. Snelling, Mr. Dove, Mr. Hussey, Colonel Purefoy, Mr. Aldworth, Mr. Anlaby, Mr. Darley, Mr. Robert Goodwyn, Mr. Nevill, Colonel Harrison, Mr. Lister, Mr. Michael Livesey, Mr. Weaver, Colonel Stapley, Mr. Mane, Mr. Hay; or any Five of them: And the particular Care hereof is referred to Mr. Hussey and Mr. Weaver: And the Committee is to meet in the Star Chamber, To-morrow in the Afternoon at Two of Clock; and so de die in diem: With Power to send for Persons, Papers, Witnesses.
