Prayers.
Cholmeley's Composition.
Sir Arthur Heslerigg reports from the Committee of Goldsmiths Hall, touching the Composition of Sir Hugh Cholmeley, for his Delinquency.
Ordered, by the Parliament, That it be specially recommended to this Committee of Goldsmiths Hall, to take Consideration of this Case to Sir Hugh Cholmeley; and to take special Care that the State be not defrauded in any Composition made by him; and to take the like Care of all Cases of like Nature, and proceed according to the Powers to them given, for the Advantage of the Commonwealth.
Relief of Creditors.
Ordered, by the Parliament, That the Act for Relief of Creditors, be brought in on Tuesday Morning next, the first Business.
Gospel in Wales.
Ordered, by Parliament, That the Act for Advance of the Gospel in Wales, be reported To-morrow Morning.
Crown Lands.
An Act for Removing of Obstructions in the Sale of the Honours, Manors, Lands, &c. of the late King, Queen, and Prince, was this Day read the Second time.
The humble Petition of Phillipp Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery, was this Day read.
Resolved, That this Act be committed to Sir Henry Vane senior and junior, Colonel Jones, Mr. Stephens, Mr. Pury, Mr. Love, Mr. Dove, Mr. Corbett, Mr. Salwey, Mr. Reynolds, Sir James Harrington, Colonel Ludlow, Mr. Allen, Mr. Gurdon, Mr. Holland, Colonel Thompson, Mr. Oldesworth, Mr. Marten, Mr. Long, Mr. Hallowes, Mr. Leaman, Sir John Boucher, Mr. Garland, Colonel Fenwick, Lord Grey, Sir Arthur Hesilrig, Colonel Fleetwood, Lord Mounson, Sir Peter Wentworth, Colonel Ven, Mr. Thomas Challener, Colonel Harrison, Colonel Rich, Mr. Ralegh, Sir Wm. Allenson, Mr. Nevill, Mr. Say; or any Five of them: Who are to sit in the Place where the Committee for the Army sit: And are to meet there this Afternoon; and so de die in diem.
And the more particular Care hereof is referred to Colonel Jones.
Ordered, That that Part of the said Petition of Philip Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery which concerns Claringdon Park, be referred to the afore-named Committee; to take the same into Consideration; and report their Opinions therein to the House.
Army Arrears.
Ordered, That the Proposals, in order to the removing Obstructions in stating the Accompts of the Soldiers, and enabling them to become Purchasers for Satisfaction of their Arrears, be reported on Saturday Morning next.
