Smith's Accompts.

THE Certificates of the Committee of Accompts for the County of Leicester, concerning the Accompt of Henry Smith Esquire, Captain of a Troop of Horse, under the Command of the Committee of Parliament in the said County, was this Day read; and followeth, in hæc verba; viz.

To the Right honourable the Committee of Accompts for the Kingdom.

Leicester.

The Certificate of the Committee of Accompts for the County of Leicester, concerning the Accompts of Henry Smith Esquire, Captain of a Troop of Horse, under the Command of the Committee of Parliament in the said County.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth approve of this Accompt returned by the Committee; and of the Sum of Five hundred and Twenty Pounds Eight Shillings, certified to be due to Captain Henry Smith, upon that Accompt.

Ordered, That Captain Henry Smith be admitted to come in for the Sum of Five hundred and Twenty Pounds Eight Shillings, by way of Doubling upon Dean and Chapters Lands: And that he have the like Benefit, as others in like Cases, by Force of the Act: And that the Trustees, Contractors, and Register Accomptant, be required to admit him accordingly.

Yorkshire Sequestrations.

An Act, That the Sequestrations of the new Delinquents, in the late Engagement in the County of Yorke, and the Fines and Compositions for their Delinquency, in the said late Engagement, not disposed of, do go towards the Disbanding of the Forces in the said County, was this Day read the First and Second time.

Ordered, That, This-day-sevennight, the House do take into Consideration what to do with the Estates of such Delinquents, as have stood out all Days of Grace and Favour offered them to compound, and have not yet compounded for their Delinquency.

Ordered, That the Act, concerning Incumbrances upon Delinquents Estates, be read on This-day-sevennight.

Assessment.

Colonel Ven reports from the Committee of the Army, an Act for continuing the Assessment of the Ninety thousand Pounds per mensem, for Three Months longer; viz. from the Twenty-ninth of September, to the Twentyninth of December next.

Which was read the First and Second time.

And the Question being put, That this Bill be committed;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went forth.

So it passed with the Negative.

The Question being put, That the last Clause in the Bill do stand;

It passed with the Affirmative.

And so the Act was, upon the Question, passed.

Resolved, &c. That L . . . . . Lurkin junior, be left out of the Committee for the Assessment of the Ninety thousand Pounds per mensem, in Suffolk.

Resolved, &c. That Robert Waters, and Christopher Percehay, be added to the Committee for the North Riding of Yorkshire, for the Assessment of the Ninety thousand Pounds per mensem.

Ordered, That Joseph Brand Esquire be added to the Committee of Suffolk, for the Assessment of the Ninety thousand Pounds per mensem.

Ordered, That Colonel * Hampton, * Wingfield Esquire, and Henry Arundell Gentleman, be added to the Committee of Middlesex, for the Assessment of the Ninety thousand Pounds per mensem.

Hat Trade.

Mr. Scott reports Amendments to an Act for Relief of Feltmakers and Hatbandmakers, against Aliens and Strangers importing such Wares to the Hindrance of their Manufacture: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, assented unto; and ordered to be ingrossed.
