Prayers.

Sir Thomas Hampson.

ORDERED, That the Clerk to the Committee for Sequestrations at Haberdashers Hall do forthwith send, to this House a Copy . . the Report touching the Charge of Delinquency against Sir Thomas Hampson.

Order amended.

Ordered, That, in an Order made the Eighth of March 1647, upon the Petition of Philip Starkey, Citizen and Cook of London, after these Words, "that his Receipt, shewed unto the Receiver at Guildhall, London," these Words, viz. "or York," be added.

Lady Capell.

Ordered, That the Lady Capell's Petition be read Tomorrow Morning.

Tythes.

The Question being propounded, That This-day-sevennight be appointed to take into Consideration the Matter of Tythes:

And the Question being put, That that Question be now put;

It passed in the Affirmative.

And the main Question being put;

It was Resolved, &c. That This-day-sevennight be appointed to take into Consideration the Matter of Tythes.

Prisoners.

Ordered, That the Act touching Prisoners be brought in To-morrow Morning.

Irish Affairs.

Mr. Scott reports from the Council of State, a Letter from Sir Charles Coote, from Londonderry, 6 April 1649; and a Letter from Colonel George Munck, from Lisnegarvy, dated 27 March 1649: Both which were now read.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to send into Scotland, as they shall think fit, in reference to the present Business of Ireland.

Ordered, That the Ten thousand Pounds, being the Second Payment of the Composition of the Delinquents in South Wales, shall be paid for the Service of Ireland: And that the Acquittance and Acquittances of such Persons as shall be appointed, by the Council of State, for Receiving thereof, shall be a sufficient Discharge unto such Person or Persons as shall pay the same.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to take Course for Raising of Money for the present Service of Ireland, upon the Credit of that Ten thousand Pounds.

Ordered, That the Council of State have Power to treat with the City of London, and Members of the several Halls, the Adventurers for Ireland, touching the Advance of Money, or any other way, for the present Relief of Ireland, as they shall think fit.

Prize Goods.

Mr. Corbett reports Amendments to an Act touching Prize Goods: Which were this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, assented unto: And the Act, so amended, being put to the Question, passed.

Navy, &c.

Ordered, That the Report touching the Navy and Customs be made To-morrow Morning.

Insurrection in Norwich.

Ordered, That the Business touching the Insurrection in the City of Norwich be referred to the Committee of Complaints; to hear the same and to state the whole Matter thereupon; and report the same, with their Opinion, to this House, with all convenient Speed.

Coinage.

Ordered, That Mr. Attorney General be required to bring in a Bill for the Stamps of Coin on Saturday Morning.

Army Committee, &c.

Mr. Pury reports from the Committee of the Army, some Amendments to the Bill for Constituting a Committee of the Army, and Treasurers and Collectors for the Assessment of the Ninety thousand Pounds per Mensem.

Ordered, That the Earl of Pembroke be added to the Committee of the Army in this Act.

The Question being propounded, That John Blackwell junior be added to be one of the Treasurers at War in this present Act;

And the Question being put, That that Question be now put;

The House was divided.

The Noes went forth.

So it passed with the Negative.

The Amendments to the said Act were this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, assented unto: And the said Act, so amended, being put to the Qestion, passed.

Prizes.

An Act declaring the Grounds and Causes of making Prize the Ships and Goods that shall be taken, from time to time, by the Parliament Ships at Sea; and for the Encouragement of Officers, Mariners, and Seamen; was this Day read the Third time; and, upon the Question, passed.

Ordered, That this Act be forthwith printed and published.

Deans and Chapters Lands.

Mr. John Corbett reports Resolutions of the Committee touching Deans and Chapters Lands.

Ordered, That the Debate upon the said Resolutions be taken up To-morrow Morning at Eight a Clock, the first Business; nothing to intervene.
