Prayers.

Seilly Islands.

A LETTER from Admiral Blake, and Colonel John Clark, of the Fourth of June 1651, from aboard the Phænix, before Grimsbie; with the Articles made upon the Surrender of the Islands of St. Maries, and Agnes; with a List of such Officers, and Gentlemen, as belong to Sir John Greenvile, Governor.

Which were all this Day read.

The House being informed, that Captain Hatsell, who who brought these Letters, was at the Door;

He was called in: And, being come to the Bar, he made a Relation of the particular Proceedings of the Ships and Forces sent to the Isle of Scilly; and the Manner of taking in those Islands.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to consider of the Information given concerning the Defectiveness of the Provisions in the Ships which went to Scilly; and to examine the Truth of it, and the Abuse; and what Punishment is sit to be inflicted upon the Offenders; and to put the same in a Way of Prosecution against them, accordingly.

Ordered, That this Debate, upon the said Articles, be taken up on Thursday next.

Ld. Rich's, &c. Estate.

Resolved, That it be referred to a Committee, to consider of the Cases of the Lord Rich, Sir Thomas Fanshaw, the Earl of Huntington, and Robert Jegon; who are necessitated to sell Lands for Payment of Debts; how they may be enabled thereunto, where Fines and Recoveries are requisite to bar Insants; and to present their Opinions to the House on Tuesday Morning next: Viz. to Mr. Lechmere, Colonel Rich, Mr. Garland, Mr. Edwards, Sir Henry Vane, Mr. Long, Mr. Attorney General, Mr. Ralegh, Earl of Pembroke, Mr. *Challenor, Lord Grey, Sir James Harrington, Dr. Palmer, Sir Thomas Wroth, Mr. Dormer, Colonel Marten, Mr. John Corbett: or any Three of them: And all that come to have Voices: And this Committee are to meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

And the particular Care hereof is committed to Mr. Lechmere.

Persons pardoned.

Resolved, That a Pardon be granted to Edward Aston, Richard Culpack, George Newsam, and Philip Spooner, now Prisoners in the Gatehouse, for the several Treasons by them confessed at the High Court of Justice: And that Mr. Attorney General be authorized to prepare a Pardon, in common Form; and the Lords Commissioners for the Great Seal of England be authorized to pass the same under the Great Seal, accordingly: And that the same be done without Fees.

Bills to be read.

Ordered, That the several Bills to enable the Earl of Pembroke, Sir Thomas Fleetwood, the Lord Lovelace, Sir Robert Howard, Mr. Peck, the Earl of Huntington, Mr. Dansey, Mr. Milton, the Lord Abergæenney, and others, for Payment of their Fines and Debts, be read on Wednesday next.

Arrest of Sir B. Rudyard.

A Certificate from the Commissioners for Compounding, touching the Arresting of Sir Benjamine Rudyard, for a Debt of Mr. Pim's, was this Day read.

Ordered, That the Sheriffs of London and Middlesex be authorized and required to deliver, or cause to be delivered, out of Prison, Sir Benjamine Rudyard Knight, being taken upon a Capias utlagat', after Judgment, for a Debt to Robert Harvey: And that the said Sheriffs of London and Middlesex be, and are hereby, indemnified, and saved harmless, touching the same: And that the Plaintiff in that Suit may, and is hereby, enabled, notwithstanding this Discharge, to sue forth, and cause to be executed, a new Writ of Capias utlagat', if be please.

Delinquents Estates.

Ordered, That the House do resume the Debate upon the Bill for Sale of Delinquents Estates, on Tuesday Morning next, the first Business: And that Mr. Garland and Major Salwey do bring in more Names of Persons, to be inserted into the said Bill.

Dover Pier.

Ordered, That the Business touching the Pier of Dover be taken into Consideration on Wednesday Morning next.

The House, according to former Order, adjourned itself to Tuesday Morning next, Eight of Clock.
