Prayers.

Delinquents Estates.

AN Act, for Sale of the Lands of several Delinquents, was this Day read the Second time.

A Proviso was tendered to this Act, "That this Act, or any thing therein contained, shall not in any wise be prejudicial to the Town of Taunton; but that the said Town, by their Trustees, may have and enjoy for ever, Lands of the Value of Seven thousand Pounds, out of the Estate of Sir John Stowell, according to an Order of Parliament of the Sixth of September 1649: And that an Act shall and may be brought in, for enjoying the same accordingly:" Which was this Day read the First and Second time.

The Question being propounded, That the Time of the Forfeitures of the Persons comprised within this Bill be from the Six-and-twentieth of March 1638;

And the Question being put, That that Question be now put;

It passed with the Affirmative.

And the main Question being put;

It was Resolved, by the Parliament, That the Time of the Forfeitures of the Persons comprised within this Bill be from the Six-and-twentieth of March 1638.

Ordered, That it be referred to the same Committee who brought in the Bill upon the Debate now had in the House, touching Conveyances and Settlements by Delinquents, within this Bill, to the Use of their Wives, Children, or Kindred, since the Twenty-sixth of March 1638, to prepare something to be offered to the House, for their Resolution therein; and to bring it in To-morrow Morning: And the Committee are to meet this Afternoon in the Speaker's Chamber: And Mr. Say, and Mr. Garland are to take care hereof.

Ordered, That the Debate upon this Bill be adjourned until To-morrow Morning, the first Business; nothing to intervene.
