Prayers.

Declaration of the King.

THE House this Day resumed the Debate upon the Answer to the Paper, intituled, "A Declaration of the King's Majesty to his Subjects of the Kingdoms of Scotland, England, and Ireland."

Which after some Amendments at the Table, being put to the Question, was assented unto; and ordered to be forthwith printed and published.

Door shut.

Resolved, That the Door be shut till Twelve of Clock.

Resolved, That the Door be shut till One of Clock.

Volunteers.

Ordered, That the Amendments to the Act touching raising Volunteers be reported To-morrow Morning.

Letter to French King.

Ordered, That the Report from the Council of State, touching a Letter to be sent to the French King, be made To-morrow Morning.

Information against Ld. Howard.

Mr. Nevill reports from the Committee touching the Lord Howard, An Information, under the Hand of Thomas Gell; viz.

"That it is informed, That Sir Robert Banister, being questioned at the Committee of Haberdashers Hall, for his Fifth, and Twentieth Part, and Three thousand Pounds, or thereabouts, demanded of him, Mrs. Whorwood did undertake, for Six hundred Pounds, to get Sir Robert Banister to be discharged from that Committee: And she did afterwards bring a Discharge of Sir Robert Banister from that Committee: Whereupon Thomas Addams Esquire, lately Lord Mayor of London, did pay unto her Six hundred Pounds."

Ordered, That the said Information be referred to the said Committee; to examine the Matter; and report it to the House.

Ordered, That the Powers formerly given to the Committee heretofore appointed touching Bribery, be settled in the said Committee to whom the Information against the Lord Howard is referred: And that Mr. Weaver, Major General Harrison, Mr. Thomas Challoner, Mr. Snelling, Colonel Morley, Sir John Bourchier, Mr. Holland, Alderman Pennyngton, Mr. Goodwyn, Colonel Jones, Alderman Atkin, Alderman Allen, Mr. Dove, Mr. Rauglley, Earl of Pembroke, Sir John Danvers, Sir Henry Heyman, Mr. Lenthall, Mr. Moyle, Mr. Garland, Colonel Wogan, Mr. Dunch, Mr. Bond, Lord Commissioner Lisle, Mr. Robert Goodwyn, Sir Henry Mildmay, Major Salway, Sir John Hippesley, Colonel Thompson, Mr. Carey, Mr. Say, Mr. Mayne, and Mr. Edward Ashe, be added to this Committee.

The Lord Commissioner Lisle reports, A Letter from the Lord General, from Edenburgh, of the Ninth of September 1650.

Ordered, That the said Letter be returned back again to the Council of State.
