Leave of Absence.

ORDERED, That Mr. Harbert have Leave to go into the Country.

Naval Martial Law.

Commissary General Ireton reports Amendments to the Act for giving Power to Commissioners for Command of the Fleet at Sea: Which Amendments were read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, assented unto.

And the said Act, so amended, being put to the Question, passed.

Navy.

Resolved, &c. That the Commissioners appointed for Command of the Fleet shall have the Salary of Four Pounds per diem, formerly allowed to the General of the Fleet; and also the Sum of Five Pounds per diem more; in regard the Profits belonging to the Place of High Admiral are reserved from them for other Uses of the Commonwealth; both the said Sums amounting, in Total, to Nine Pounds per diem; to be equally divided amongst them: And the same to be paid to them by the Treasurers of the Navy: And that the Committee of the Navy do, from time to time, issue forth Warrants for Payment thereof accordingly.

Resolved, &c. That the Secretary to the Commissioners, appointed for the Command of the Fleet, have the Sum of One hundred and Fifty Pounds per Annum allowed unto him for his Salary. And this House doth Declare, That this Secretary shall take no Fees for any Commissions of such Persons as had Commissions granted the last Summer.

Resolved, &c. That a Chaplain be allowed to the Commissioners appointed for the Command of the Fleet: And that it be referred to the Committee of the Navy to consider of this Salary, and for the Salaries of other Ministers: And that they present their Opinions therein to the House.

Impresting Seamen.

Commissary General Ireton reports a Supplemental Act to the late Act of Encouragement of Officers and Mariners, and Impresting of Seamen: Which was this Day read; and, upon the Question, passed.

Westminster Militia.

Ordered, That on Monday the Act for settling the Militia of Westminster be read.

Lead Mines.

Ordered, That the Act for Increase of the Trade of Lead, and of easing heavy Burdens of many Thousand poor Miners, working in the Lead Mines in the County of Derby, be read on Friday next.

Crown Lands.

Mr. Gurdon, Mr. Weaver, Mr. Boone, Colonel Harrison, Colonel Venne, Mr. Blackiston, Lord Mounson, Colonel Marten, Mr. Whittacre, Mr. Humphrey Edwards, Mr. Scott, Mr. Leamen, Mr. Say, Colonel Jones, Mr. Robinson, Sir James Harrington, Mr. Anlaby, Sir John Bourchier, Lieutenant General Cromwell, Commissary General Ireton, Mr. Allen, Mr. Holland, Mr. Dove, Colonel Purefoy;

This Committee are to bring in an Act to impower Commissioners to take a Survey of the Parks, Forests, Chases, and great Houses, lately belonging to the Crown, or Duchy of Lancaster; and to improve and dispose thereof, for the best Advantage of the Commonwealth; and to consider, and to present, some way for Improvement, Disposing, and Well-management of the Publick Revenue.

This Committee are to meet this Afternoon in the Court of Wards; and so to sit de die in diem: And the more particular Care hereof is referred to Mr. Say.

Ordered, That it be referred to the same Committee, to bring in an Act to appoint Commissioners for the Preservation and Disposal of the Goods, and personal Estate, of the late King, and of the Queen and Prince.
