Prayers.
Payment to Fawconbridge.
ORDERED, That William White Esquire do pay unto Thomas Fawconbridge Esquire, Receiver General of his Majesty's Revenue, the Sum of Nine hundred and Twenty Pounds, out of such Monies as are assigned to be paid unto him the said Mr. White, for the Use of the Lord Fairefax his Army; to be paid by the Treasurers for Sequestrations at Guildhall, in full Discharge of the like Sum received by Sir Thomas Fairefax (now Lord General of the Parliament Forces) of Edmond Pollard Gentleman, one of the Receivers of his Majesty's Revenues in the North, in or about the Months of January or February 1643, upon his March to Namptwich; and charged by his Bill of Exchange, to be paid by the said Wm. White: And the Receipt or Receipts of the said Thomas Fawconbridge shall be a sufficient Discharge unto the said Wm. White: And the Auditor or Auditors of his Majesty's said Revenue shall give Allowance and Discharge unto the said Edmond Pollard, for the said Sum of Nine hundred and Twenty Pounds, upon his Accompt, upon Certificate made unto them of the Payment thereof, by the said Thomas Fawconbridge: Who is hereby required to make a Certificate to the Auditors accordingly.

Reduced Officers, &c.
The humble Petition of the reduced Officers and Soldiers, as also of the Widows and Orphans of such as have lost their Lives in the Parliament Service, delivered in by Sir Simonds D'Ewes, was this Day read.
Sir Thomas Dacres reports from the Committee to whom the Petitions of reduced Officers was referred, the State of the Matter of Fact concerning those Officers and their Demands.
Propositions to the King.
Resolved, &c. That the Three Propositions, agreed upon on Tuesday last, be sent to the Commissioners residing in Scotland, to be by them communicated to the Parliament of Scotland.

London Petitions.
The House being informed, that the Sheriffs, and divers Aldermen, were at the Door;
They were called in: And Sheriff Bide, after some Preamble acquainted the House, That a Company of eminent and ancient Citizens, on Tuesday Night, brought a Petition to the Common Council: Which they read: And they are commanded by the Mayor, Aldermen, and Commons, in Common Council assembled (the Representative Body of the City), to represent the same, together with a Petition of their own, annexed to this House.
The one Petition was styled, "The humble Petition of the Lord Mayor, Aldermen, and Commons, of the City of London, in Common Council assembled."
The other, styled, "The humble Petition of divers well-affected Citizens, and other Inhabitants within the City of London," directed to the Lord Mayor, Aldermen, and Common Council.
The which (the Petitioners being withdrawn) was read.
Mr. Samuell Browne, Mr. Annesley, Mr. Knightley, Mr. Erle, Mr. Bois, Mr. Oxenden, Mr. Lee, Mr. Westrow, Sir Thomas Walsingham, Sir Gilbert Gerard, Mr. John Ashe, Mr. Edward Ashe, Mr. Prideaux, Sir Peter Wentworth, the Citizens and Burgesses of the City of London;
This Committee is to state a Narrative of what the Houses have done, in reference to the Particulars desired in the Petition: And are to acquaint the Common Council therewith this Afternoon.
The Citizens were again called in: And Mr. Speaker, by the Command of the House, acquainted them, That the House doth perceive the Wisdom and Moderation of the Common Council, in this Business; and thereby their good Affections to the Parliament: For which he was commanded to return them Thanks; and, by them, to the Common Council. As to the Petition from the Citizens, they have resolved to send Members of their own to the Common Council, this Afternoon, upon that Business; and desired them, That a Common Council might be called to meet this Afternoon, to this Purpose.
Mr. Samuell Browne is appointed to go to the Lords, with the Petitions now received from the City; and acquaint the Lords, what this House hath done hereupon; and desire their Concurrence.
Ordered, That the Members of this House that are appointed to go to the City, this Afternoon, be enjoined to attend that Service.
Mr. Samuell Browne brings Answer, That the concur with this House in what they have done upon the Citizens Petition; and have appointed a Committee of their House, of Six.

Leave of Absence.
Ordered, That Mr. Nathaniell Stephens and Mr. Brewster, Members of this House, have Leave to go into the Country.
Ordered, That Sir Henry Vane junior, upon the Occasion of the Removal of his Wife and Family into the County of Lincoln, shall have the Leave of the House to go into the Country.

Sir Robert Pye brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the Members of this House that are added to the Committee at Derby House.

Mr. Swynfen brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the several Names carried by him, to be added to the Committees in those several Counties; to the Ordinance for bringing in the Arrears of the City; to the Order concerning the Three thousand Pounds Engagements of Colonel Weldon, Governor of Plymouth: To the Three Propositions they will send Answer by Messengers of their own.
Army Accompts.
An Ordinance for appointing a Committee to receive and state the Accompts of the Soldiery of the Kingdom, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto the Committee where Sir Thomas Dacres has the Chair; with the Addition of Mr. Scawen, Mr. Swynfen, Mr. Scott, Colonel Moore, Sir John Temple, Major Harley, Mr. Fowell, Mr. Peck, Mr. Tolson, Mr. Ratcliff, Mr. Weaver, Mr. Vaughan, Sir James Harrington, Colonel Harvey, Mr. Nicholas, Sir Ralph Ashton, Mr. Blakiston, to the said Committee, as to the Business referred to that Committee.
It is further Ordered, That the several Petitions from divers Officers, &c. be referred to the foresaid Committee; to consider of them; and to state the Matter of Fact touching them, on Monday Morning next; together with their Opinions upon them.
Grant to Harecourt.
An Ordinance for settling Four hundred Pounds per Annum upon the Heirs of Sir Symon Harecourt, out of Luke Neotervile's Estate in Ireland, was this Day read the First time.
Tynte's Delinquency.
The humble Petition of Captain John Wood, Captain John Hull, Captain John Brothers, Captain Licence Lloyd, Lieutenant Lawrence Hudson, and Lieutenant John Raithby, Officers in the Parliament's Service; and the Case of William Tynte, against whom Information of Delinquency was given; and the Report of the Lords and Commons at Haberdashers Hall, touching the same; were this Day read.
Resolved, &c. That this House doth declare, That the said Wm. Tynte, having faithfully served the Parliament, by the Space of Three Years since the Delinquency charged against him, is hereby discharged of his Delinquency.

Ordered, That the Ordinance for Sale of Dean and Chapters Lands be read To-morrow.
Army Arrears.
Ordered, That Mr. Scott and Colonel Harvey do take particular Care of the Ordinances touching the Soldiers Accompts and Arrears this Day committed, now in the Hands of Sir Thomas Dacres; and of the several Petitions of Officers and Soldiers referred to that Committee.

A Letter from the Commissioners of Parliament in Ireland, appointed to treat with the Lord Ormond, from Dublyn of the Twenty-eighth of July 1647, was this Day read.
Irish Privy Signet.
Ordered, That the King's Privy Signet for the Kingdom of Ireland be restored to the Lord Viscount Valentia Principal Secretary of State, and Clerk of the Signet there, by Patent, during his Life: And that Colonel Jones do deliver the said Privy Signet to the said Lord Viscount Valentia accordingly.
