It is Resolved, &c. That the respective Fines of Twenty Pounds, deposited by the said Sir Wm. Litton and Mr. Bols, be restored unto them, respectively.
Earl of Mulgrave.
Ordered, That the Report of the Business concerning the Earl of Mulgrave be reported on Thursday Morning next, the first Business after the Reports from the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall.
Shaftesbury Writ.
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery, to issue a Writ, for the Election of a Burgess to serve for the Town of Shaftesbury in the County of Dorsett, in the room and place of Colonel * Starre, formerly chosen to serve for that Borough, and since deceased.
Proceedings concerning Lilbourne.
Mr. Marten reports the Matter of Fact concerning the Imprisonment and Commitment of Lieutenant Colonel John Lilbourne, now a Prisoner in the Tower, by Order of the House of Peers.
A Copy of the Judgment given by the Lords, in the House of Peers, in the Case of the said Lieutenant Colonel John Lilbourne, the Eleventh Day of July 1646, was read; and likewise a Copy of Articles, intituled, "Articles exhibited before the Lords, in Parliament assembled, by Sir Nath. Finch Knight, one of his Majesty's Serjeants at Law, against Lieutenant Colonel John Lilbourne, for High Crimes and Misdemeanors done and committed by him."
Resolved, &c. That the whole Matter of the Report, now made by Mr. Marten, concerning Lieutenant Colonel Lilbourne, be committed unto Mr. Solicitor, Mr. Maynard, Mr. Selden, Mr. Lilibone Longe, Mr. Whitelock, Mr. Grimston, Sir Thomas Widdrington, Mr. Serjeant Wilde, Mr. Nicholas, Mr. Nath. Fienis, Mr. Bacon, Mr. John Stephens, Mr. Lisle, Mr. Samuell Browne, Mr. Boys, Mr. Henry Pelham, Mr. Ashhurst, Mr. Knightley, Mr. Pury, Mr. Serjeant Chresheld, Mr. Ratcliff, Doctor Bond, Mr. John Corbett, Mr. Myles Corbett, Mr. John Goodwyn, Mr. Ball, Mr. Wheeler, Mr. Swynfen, Mr. Whittacre, Mr. Ellis, Mr. Marten, or any Five of them: And they are to consider of Precedents in this and the like Cases; and to state their Opinions to the House, What they think fit to be done upon this Business, and Matters of the like Nature: And are to meet this Afternoon at Three of Clock, in the Court of Wards; and so de die in diem: And are to report with convenient Speed: And have Power to send for Lieutenant Colonel Lilbourne, to prosecute his Business at the said Committee, so often as they shall have Occasion: And the Care of this Business is more particularly referred to Mr. Maynard.
Riotous Women about the House.
Ordered, That the Serjeant at Arms attending on this House be required by himself, or his Servants, to apprehend all such Women, or other Persons that he shall be informed of, who clamour about the Houses, and speak any scandalous Words against the Parliament; and carry them to the next Justice of Peace: Who is required to send the said Persons, so apprehended for the Crimes aforesaid, to the House of Correction; and to give Order, That they may be there punished according to Law and Justice: And the Captains and other Officers of the Guards, attending the Houses, are required, as Occasion shall be, upon the Desire of the Serjeant, or his Men, to be aiding and assisting to the said Serjeant, or his Men, in the due Execution of this Order.
Publick Revenue.
Ordered, That these Petitions and Lists be referred to the Committee where Sir Thomas Dacres and Mr. Marten has the Chair; to enquire into these Lists, Whether any mentioned in these Lists are in the List in Lieutenant General Cromwell's Hands; and whether any of them have been paid already.
They are further to consider, How Monies may be borrowed at Weavers Hall, for Relief of such as shall be thought fit and just to be relieved.
They are likewise to send for the Auditors; and to consider with them, How all Obstructions in the Auditing their Accompts may be removed.
Grant to Alkin.
Ordered, That the Sum of Fifty Pounds be bestowed upon Elizabeth Alkin, alias Jones; and paid unto her forthwith by the Committee for Sequestrations at Campden House: And the Acquittance of the said Elizabeth Alkin, together with a Copy of this Order, shall be a sufficient Warrant to the said Committee, and Treasurer there, for the Payment of the said Fifty Pounds unto the said Elizabeth Alkin, accordingly.
It is further Ordered, That the said Committee do forthwith provide a convenient House for the said Elizabeth Alkin to dwell in.
Message from Lords.
A Message from the Lords, by Dr. Aylett and Mr. Sadler;
The Lords have commanded us to deliver unto you an Ordinance for making Lewis Du Moulin to be History Reader in the University of Oxon: An Ordinance for the Marquis of Winton to continue upon his Bail: An Ordinance for repairing of Churches: An Ordinance for the Militia of Westminster: An Order for John Borros' Pardon: An Ordinance for the Duke of Florence his Resident to be freed from paying Excise for his own Provisions: In all which they desire the Concurrence of this House:-A Report touching Ireland and the Irish Prisoners; which the Lords have approved; and recommended to the Consideration of this House:- Mr. Boyde's Petition, with a Report from the Committee for Indemnity; which they recommend to the Consideration of this House:-To put this House in mind of speedy Supplies for Colonel Jones; of an Order for the Relief of Barton; of an Order concerning Colonel Manwaring; of a Business concerning Hawkes, and others; of the Lady Moore's Petition: An Order for Colonel Rainborough to be speeded to Sea.
Ordered, That the Particulars of this Message be taken into Consideration on Wednesday Morning next.
Westminster Militia.
An additional Ordinance concerning the Militia of Westminster, &c. now sent from the Lords, was read; and nothing more done upon it.
Militias.
Ordered, That the Ordinance in Mr. Ball's Hands, concerning the Militia of Westminster, &c.; and the Ordinance in Mr. Leman's Hands, concerning the Militia of the County of Herts; be read To-morrow Morning.
Ordered, That Colonel Thompson do, To-morrow Morning, bring in an additional Ordinance concerning the Militia of Southwarke.
Ordered, That Mr. Ball do, To-morrow Morning, bring in an additional Ordinance, concerning the Militia of the Hamlets of the Tower.

Ordered, That Lieutenant General Cromwell do acquaint the Committee for examining the late Force upon the Houses, with the Informations he has received concerning Shropshire, Herts, and Kent; and with the Parties that give the said Informations.

Resolved, &c. That the Thanks of this House be returned to Serjeant Wilde, for the good Service he performed to the Parliament, in vindicating the Honour of the Parliament, upon all Occasions, in his Proceedings in the Circuit.
Impeached Lords.
Ordered, That Serjeant Wilde, Mr. Erasmus Erle, Mr. Whitelock, Mr. Samuell Browne, and Mr. Maynard, be added to the Committee appointed to prepare the Impeachments against the Lords, and others, impeached or voted to be impeached by this House of High Treason: And that they do meet this Afternoon, and make a speedy Dispatch of those Matters; and report them to the House.

A Message from the Lords, by Dr. Aylett and Mr. Sadler;
The Lords have commanded us to bring unto you this Ordinance concerning Foreign Silver: A Report from the Committee of the Admiralty to make Sir Charles Coote Vice Admiral of Ulster; in which they desire the Concurrence of this House: A Report about Admiralty Jurisdiction and Sea Laws; which they recommend to this House.
