Prayers.

Leave of Absence.

ORDERED, &c. That Mr. Peter Brooke, a Member of this House, lying now under some Indisposition of Health, shall have the Leave of the House to go into the Country, for Recovery of his Health.

Ordered, &c. That Mr. Moody, a Member of this House, indisposed in Health, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Forces and Garisons.

According to former Order, the House proceeded to the Consideration of the Forces and Garisons: And the Members, according to the Order, delivered in an Account of the Forces and Garisons of the particular Counties.

The Question was propounded, That the House do take into Consideration, in the First place, the Garisons and Forces of the particular Counties.

And the Question being put, Whether this Question shall be now put;

The House was divided.

The Noes went forth.

So that the Question passed with the Negative.

Ordered, upon the Question, That Candles be now brought in.

Resolved, &c. That the House do take into Consideration, To-morrow Morning, the first Business, the Number of Horse that shall be kept in Pay within the Kingdom of England.

Information against Vaughan.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to a Committee, to take into Consideration the Information now given against Mr. Edward Vaughan; and to report their Opinions, upon the Examination thereof.

They are to meet on Saturday next, at Two post Meridiem, in the Court of Wards: And have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Papers, Records.

It is further Ordered, upon the Question, That the Information, now given by Mr. Edward Vaughan against Sir Thomas Middleton, be referred to this Committee, in the same Manner, and with the like Power, as the former Information is referred.

Payment to Greves.

A Letter from the Commissioners from Holdenby, of 16 Februarii 1646, was this Day read.

Ordered, upon the Question, That the Sum of Two thousand Pounds be paid unto Colonel Rich. Greves, upon Account, by the Committee at Goldsmiths-Hall, out of the Fines and Compositions of such Delinquents, not yet particularly assigned, as the said Colonel Richard Greves shall nominate unto the Committee at Goldsmiths-Hall: And the Acquittance of the said Colonel Greves, or his Assignee, shall be a sufficient Warrant and Discharge unto the Committee at Goldsmiths-Hall, and the Treasurers there, for the Payment of the said Sum of Two thousand Pounds accordingly.

The Lords Concurrence to be desired herein.

Ordered, &c. That the Committee for the Army do take the best Care they can, that the Convoy, that is now quartered about Holdenby, may be supplied with Pay.
