PRAYERS.

Delinquents.

MR. John Ashe reports divers Fines and Compositions from the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall: Whereupon it is resolved, as followeth; viz.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth accept of the Sum of Three hundred and Fourscore Pounds, for a Fine, for the Delinquency of Henry Sidenham, of Doniett in the County of Somersett, Esquire: His Offence, that he left his Habitation, and resided in the Enemy's Quarters: He rendered before December 1645: His Estate, in Fee, per Annum, Eighty-six Pounds Thirteen Shillings and Fourpence; in Reversion, after a Life, Sixty Pounds; for One Life, per Annum, Twenty Pounds; in old Rents, per Annum, Twenty-one Pounds Ten Shillings: For which his Fine, at a Tenth, is Three hundred and Eighty Pounds.

An Ordinance for granting a Pardon unto Henry Sidenham, of Doniett in the County of Somersett, Esquire, for his Delinquency, and for taking off the Sequestration of his Estate, was this Day read; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be sent to the Lords for their Concurrence.

That this House doth accept of the Sum of Two hundred and Ten Pounds, for a Fine, for the Delinquency of Richard Allen, of Greenhills in the County of Chester, Gentleman: His Offence, That he left his own House, and lived with his Daughter in Chester, whiles it was a Garison held against the Parliament: He rendered the Sixth of March 1645: His Estate, in Fee, per Annum, Seventy-six Pounds: For which, his Fine, at a Sixth, is Two hundred and Ten Pounds.

An Ordinance for granting a Pardon unto Richard Allen, of Greenhill in the County of Chester, Gentleman, for his Delinquency, and for taking off the Sequestration of his Estate, was this Day read: and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Cholwell of the Parish of West Alvington in the County of Devon, Gentleman, an Attorney at Law: His Offence, That he contributed towards Maintenance of the Forces raised against the Parliament: He rendered in April 1646: His Estate, for Three Lives, per Annum, Fifty-three Pounds; for One Life, per Annum, Twenty Pounds; in old Rents, per Annum, for One Life, Seven Pounds; personal Estate, Twenty Pounds: Out of which issues, for One Life, per Annum, Ten Pounds: Which leaves the Fine, at a Sixth, One hundred and Fourscore Pounds.

Cholwell, of the Parish of West Alvington in the County of Devon, Gentleman, Attorney at Law, for his Delinquency, and for taking off the Sequestration of his Estate, was this Day read; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be sent to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth accept of the Sum of Five thousand Pounds, for a Fine, for the Delinquency of Thomas Earl of Downe: His Offence, That he was in Arms against the Parliament: Rendered before December 1645: His Lordship's Estate, in Fee Tail, per Annum, One thousand Six hundred and Eighty-two Pounds; a Farm, in Fee Tail, per Annum, One hundred and Twenty Pounds, which said Farm is leased out for Four Years; for Life, per Annum, Three hundred and Ninety-one Pounds; in old Rents, per Annum, Two hundred and Twenty-nine Pounds: For which his Lordship's Fine, at a Tenth, is Five thousand Pounds.

An Ordinance for granting Pardon unto Thomas Earl of Downe in the Kingdom of Ireland, for his Delinquency, and for taking off the Sequestration of his Estate, was this Day read; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Grant to Stephens.

Mr. Ashe reports the Amendments to the Ordinance for making Reparation to Mr. John Stephens, by granting unto him, and settling upon him, Lands in the County of Kent, Parcel of the Possessions of Sir Jacob Astley Knight: The which were twice read; and, upon the Question, assented unto: And then the Ordnance upon the Question, passed; and is ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Mr. John Ashe is appointed to carry it to the Lords.

Customs Advances.

An Ordinance for reimbursing the Commissioners of the Customs the Monies by them advanced, out of the Moiety of the Recepts of the Customs, together with the Interest due for the same, was this Day read the First and Second Time.

A Proviso to be added to the said Ordinance, declaring, That if the said Commissioners shall be first satisfied the Monies by them advanced and due, that they shall be removable, as the Lords and Commons shall think fit, was read; and, upon the Question, assented unto; and ordered to be added to the said Ordinance.

And then the said Ordinance, with the said Proviso added unto it, upon the Question, passed; and is ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Sir Walter Erle is appointed to carry it to the Lords.

Navy.

Ordered, That, on Friday Morning next, the Reports concerning the Navy be made.

Invalid Soldiers.

An additional Ordinance for the more effectual Relief of maimed Soldiers was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, passed; and is ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Ordered, That Mr. Fell and Mr. Rigby do prepare a particular Ordinance for providing for the sick, wounded, and maimed Soldiers, &c. in the County of Lancaster.

Army Arrears.

An Ordinance for securing to the Soldiery the Arrears of their Pay, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto Mr. Lane, Mr. Whitelock, Serjeant Wilde, Mr. Myles Corbett, Mr. Nicholas, Colonel Birch, Mr. Rigby, Mr. Say, Mr. Richard Sallwey, Mr. Harrington, Mr. John Corbett, Mr. Longe, Mr. Marten: And are appointed to meet this Afternoon at Three of Clock, in the Court of Wards: And have Power to prepare one or more Ordinance or Ordinances to this Purpose: And the Care of this Business is more particularly referred unto Mr. Lane: And they are to report this Business on Friday Morning next.

Army Accompts.

An Ordinance for stating the Army Accompts was this Day read; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Ditto.

An Ordinance for stating and auditing the Accompts of the Forces to be now disbanded was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Soldiers Arms.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of the Army to take effectual Care for Preservation of the Arms of the Soldiers, now to be disbanded, upon their Disbanding.

Free Quarter, &c.

Ordered, That, To-morrow Morning the first Business, after the Reports at Goldsmiths Hall, the House do proceed in the Consideration of the Report from the Army, concerning the taking of Free Quarter, and disbanding the Supernumeraries.
