PRAYERS.

Guernesay, &c.

R. Ball reported the Amendments to the Ordinance, concerning the Isle of Guernesay, with the adjacent Isles of Alderney and Sarke: The which were twice read; and, upon the Question, assented unto: And the Ordinance, so amended, ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Propositions to the King.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to a Committee, to consider of and prepare a Proposition, according to the Debate now had in the House, to be sent to the King for his Consent, concerning the Settlement of the Presbyterian Government; and concerning the Exemption of such tender Consciences as cannot conform to that Government; viz. unto Sir Arthur Heselrige, Mr. Lawrence, Mr. Sallway, junior, Colonel Sydenham, Mr. Smith, Mr. Knightley, Mr. George Fenwicke, Mr. Westrowe, Colonel Temple, Mr. Anlaby, Mr. Wheeler, Sir Gilbert Pykeringe, Mr. Carey, Sir Henry Vane, Colonel Thornhagh, Mr. Gott, Mr. Brampton, Mr. Gourdon, Mr. Boone, Mr. Rous, Mr. Ashurst, Mr. Nath. Army Arrears.

Ordered, &c. That it be referred to the Committee of the Army, forthwith to send such of the said Committee as they shall think fit, to consider of, and confer with the Officers; and to settle some fitting Way for stating and auditing the Accompts and Arrears of the Soldiery.

Ordered, &c. That it be referred to the Committee of the Army, to receive from the Officers of the Army, or any other Person, such Propositions as shall be tendered for paying the Arrears of the Army.

Propagating the Gospel.

A Petition presented from many Citizens of London, and others, for propagating the Preaching of the Gospel through this Nation, was this Day read: And

It is Ordered, That it be referred to the Consideration of the Committee this Day appointed to consider of the Proposition touching Church Government: Who are to consider of the best Way for propagating the Gospel; and to bring it in with all convenient Speed, next after the Business concerning Church Government.

Ordered, &c. That Lieutenant General Cromwell do give the Thanks of this House to the Petitioners.

Bailing Prisoners.

Ordered, &c. That the Power formerly given to the Committee for Prisoners, concerning the Bailing of Prisoners, be continued, notwithstanding the late Orders made for Removal of Prisoners out of the Tower to other Prisons.

Ordered, &c. That Mr. Hamilton, now Prisoner in the Tower, have his Liberty, upon Bail, for a Month.

Indemnity.

Ordered, That Sir Walter Erle, Colonel Bossevile, Mr. Knightley, Sir Robert Pye, Mr. Crowther, Mr. Harrington, Mr. Ball, be added to the Committee of Indemnity.

The Lords Concurrence to be desired herein.

Marston's Petition.

Ordered, That Mr. Snelling, Colonel Thompson, Mr. Vassall, Mr. Boone, Mr. Rolle, Colonel Birch, Major Sallway, Mr. Harrington, be added to the Committee formerly appointed upon Mr. Marston's Petition: And that the said Committee do meet de die in diem for Dispatch of the Matters referred unto them.
